Junkyard Wars

I am sure most people have seen this show. I wonder how long before a video game is made about it. That game would include a bit of every genre, like strategy, adventure, competitive sport, educational... the list goes on. If done right, I think it would be quite fun! Any thoughts?

Cripe, c'mon man, they made "Simpsons", Beavis & Butt-Head, and (god forbid) "South Park" games, which are completely assinine, so I am certain a JYW game will emerge eventually. Oh, and there is also a 'Home Improvement" game too, which is just as goofy, along with "Survivor" . A "Junk Yard Wars" game would actually have some appeal, aside from the TV hype, and might actually have some decent content. I see it happening, personally, especially with the way its rating are soaring like they are.

That show is "Bodgetastic!" Although the best part about it are the hosts,Robert Lewellyn(sp?) and Cathy Rogers(mmmmm).I liked it better when we saw the original English version with these 2 hosts, which is called "Scrapheap" in Britain,BTW. A virtual junk yard, full of bits and pieces of old cars;all you have to do as a player is find the right combination of working parts.Perhaps there could be an AI Wizard to guide you to the right parts for whatever machine you are tasked to build, and in a multiplayer version, each team member is given a specific component to build. It would be a lot of fun for all the motorheads out there,of which, unfortunately,I am not!

Ahhh - Scrapheap challenge - I did catch a little of the proper English version on Rogers cable just the other day...

Robert Llewellyn is awesome - no idea who that chick is you mentioned Ric, sorry (I should keep an eye out though...)

It'd be interesting if such a game ever did make it - as Teej said there are Simpsons, South Park, B&B and also Lego games (Lego rules - don't 'dis it ) but, like Dylan - I'm not sure it would have the following or demand to be brought into production...

The show still rules though - I love the mechanical wizardy in it - catapults, go karts, hehehe... awesome.

I love that show. A vid game of it would be awesome. Especially if there was a multiplayer game like DCGeezer said. But knowing the "genius" computer game makers it would only be an online game and it would cost $99.99 to buy and $29.99 a month to play it!

Downloaded or expansion "junkyards" would be required to keep the game interesting.
