well the time has come to order my new computer and i want to no what OS to get i've basicly been given a choice of 2000 pro or XP pro which one?

Only because I have heard by friends etc that XP has its probs, and it would be good if a second edition was released to fix the tiny errors (like htey did with 98 - who out there has a 98 first edition??) Then again I dont use XP all the time, I only use 2000 Pro (and not for games) at my mums work. But thats my sguuestion anyhow. Ask Andy for info on XP cause he uses it all the time!! From XY_Futura MattB 03-15-2002, 06:01 PM thats a good system dylan:D l dont think AMD have 1.7GHZ processors, the fastest one l could find wat the 1.67GHZ, which is known as the AMD athlon XP 2000+. The names like 1700+, 1800+, 1900+ dont mean thats the speed of the CPU, its accutally a market stratagey used by AMD. even though the clock speed of the AMD is slower than the P4, it still can quick the P4 arse quite easily :D Matt Dylan 03-15-2002, 07:27 PM Matt already knew that (all the computer nerds i talk to say the same thing and thats why i said i think its a 1700+ just so computer iliterate people know and to confuse people withe 1/2 a brain (like me:D ) |
