ok 2 major ideas I have thought of are ...
1)
Online V8's
for 2004 we create the 2004 V8 Supercars skins. We can use the tracks already out there, maybe even learn how to convert tracks from V8 Challenge and V8 Race Driver.
Now traditionally you verse AI racers. SCGT has the best AI I have seen in racing games, but what about the fun of racing other real people?
We can setup an online comp. The mod mainly is to easily update to 2004 V8 Supercars and V8 Supercar tracks, then we race online on certain dates.
This gives a new perspective to racing simulation
2)
Bathurst Enduro
I was thinking of an easy mod to do - 2003 Bathurst. Seeing as SCGT is designed for enduro racing (i.e. peel into pits and an AI driver can get into the car until you call him in) we could do an easy 2003 Bathurst mod. It would mainly so you have the proper driver pairings in the cars.
Anyway just trying to type up my ideas quickly. Add to here what you reckon

Well most of them sound good, but there is room for imporvment, I just can't think of ne new ideas.

hehe i know what ya mean man.
I also need to think how to get my idea across in something that wont bore everyone (i.e. one of my essays).
Anyways any input at anytime is welcome from anyone

I,d like to start a v8 car league but i don,t think i could do an online one
How about an offline league where we submit our results to someone and then calcualte points and position and so on from their
Just a thought i really would like to get some sort of scgt v8 league going

Well guys we over at Speedsims are trying to get a league going and it is looking very promising so far
Because we don,t have all the Aussie tracks we decided to race on tracks that have good AIW,s and ones that we like
Check out this thread if you are interested

that speedsims one is similar to what I had in mind, although it would include only the V8 tracks, and if I could a VB challenge track or a drag race track for some pre-race fun

The tracks on V8C is:
Bathurst
Adelaide
Melbourne (aka Sandown)
Queensland (aka Willowbank)
Knutstrop
Mantrop (Short and Long)]
Kinnerkulle
Gerllseain (forgive spelling)
The later four are Swedish tracks

- can wait until V8RD 2 is released, its supposed to have more (or at least different) tracks like Surfers Paradise, or use the V8RD tracks like Oran Park, Eastern Creek and Canberra 400
- Quite possibly too the guys doing this F1 mod, they've hand built tracks for the F1 V8 mod, we may be able to talk them around letting us use their tracks (I dunno tho what tracks they have)
- problem is anyone know, or have a rough idea, how to convert these tracks to SCGT? Because if it were magic where we could convert tracks from V8 Race Driver, V8 Challenge and maybe the F1 Mod we would have tracks like Eastern Creek, Oran Park, Canberra 400, and Surfers Paradise (when V8Rd2 released next year).
- 3d model our own, but that'd take ages and heaps of skill / knowledge to model an up to scratch track.

I read (on speedsims, i think) that a guy had converted v8rd bathurst to F12002. i think from there its just a quick conversion 2002>SCGT. so find more on that. As fro the other games i'm not sure on, but v8challenge has been a challenge:rolleyes:

yes, hasnt V8 challenge been a challenge
Thanks for that starter idea kev :D i will follow that up
I dont think I would go as far as modeling the tracks ourselves atm but I wouldnt mind giving conversions a go
