nfs pu problems and Windows ME

I can't get NFS PU to work on windows ME. Can anyone help me out please??? I can get into the game but i can't do the evolution races

what does it do? can you race single races? does the game lockup?

I can do a quick race in single player and the factory driver, I just can't do the evolution part. when I try to go there it exits to windows

Cant help with out basic hardware specs, mainly what video card and what driver you have for it.

why would it be a hard ware problem? The other parts of the game work fine. Where would I find out what my video card and drivers are?

I don't have a clue right now what the problem is, but every bit of information helps.

Start > Run "dxdiag"

will give you a bunch of info about your system, maybe that'll tell you something...

my card is an s3 graphics inc. ProSavage
and the main driver is s3_8nb.drv
i have directx driver version 4.08.01.0881

Try downloading the most recent drivers from the manufacturer's site for you graphic card.

Try also un-installing and re-installing the game (did you ever patch it with some downloaded file?).

It's very strange that you can't do the evolution mode, maybe a corrupt file in the game because hardware specs and requirements are the same as for quick race and factory mode.

wow that is strange..are you running the current version (3.5) ?The EA updater is working I hear.Just click on multiplayer and see what happens.If that isn't it then try uninstall/reinstall. Sorry I wish i could help more.:help:
