Demo Download Links & Requirements

Hello All,

If you have not already downloaded the demo for World Racing, here are some links. Some of the pages are in German, but you should find the download link quite easy.

There are 2 versions, the first one is ~60 MB, the other one ~80 MB and it has some additional video at the beginning.

I also just seen that there is a Demo_Patch available on the 3dgamers site

The PC demo offers:

4 Mercedes-Benz cars (SLK 230 Kompressor, G500, A 190 Twin, SL 300 Gullwing)
1 full World Racing scenario: the Alps
1 mini championship with 2 races
2 missions (1 waypoint mission, 1 mission which is exclusive for the demo in which a vintage 300 SL Gullwing competes against a modern SLK)
The system requirements and additional tips and known problems are summarized in the readme file of the demo.

World Racing uses Microsoft DirectX 8.1.

The following operating systems are supported:

Windows 98
Windows 98 SE
Windows Millennium
Windows 2000 Professional (Workstation) plus Service Pack 3
Windows XP (Home and Professional) plus Service Pack 1

The following operating systems are NOT supported:

Windows 95 (all versions)
Windows NT (all versions)

Minimum hardware requirements:

800 MHz Intel Pentium III or 800 MHz AMD Athlon or
1.2 GHz Intel Celeron or 1.2 GHz AMD Duron processor
256 MB RAM
8x CD/DVD drive
160 MB free hard disk space
32 MB AGP 3D graphics card with DirectX 8.1-compatible drivers
("GeForce 2 GTS" / "Radeon 8500" or better)
Sound card with DirectX 8.1-compatible drivers
Keyboard

Recommended:

1.6 GHz Intel Pentium IV or AMD Athlon XP processor
256(+) MB RAM
16x CD/DVD drive

just wondering I have not read alot on this game yet whats it like or does it have multiplay
I'm not sure if its out here in the land downunder if its like everything else we'll get it about 2 yrs time :p what I have seen from reading this forum it looks like a great game

This game is great, Wello. And that's just the demo.

Tom (from TDK) had some sort of a deal going where foreigners could pay a certain price and get the full version delivered.. Ask him if it's still happening.

i played the demo and liked it, felt a bit like PU if you know what i mean ;)
Im still thinking about buying it, but i surely will not until theres a MP available. For that matter i looked around a bit for websites with support for this game on PC, but i didnt found it. Any links ?

thanks Bage, Corrado and FeZ. I learned austrian the hard way FeZ, i moved from germany to austria, just like you learned german :D (but i still do have probs with austrian language, even after 6 years ;))
I studied the sites you posted a bit, most of them are fan player sites, but at least theres an admin from time to time in Synetics pinboard....nevertheless no sign of MBWR at the main support page though.
Lets wait until the end of december, after multiplayer mode is available i think ill give it a try.
