 Greetz to Der Moderator! I just got my copy of MBWR today! 6 days via Gogamer and Canada Post. It installed and is running without a hitch! I love this game! I set up my profile, and did a few runs around via the Free Ride and enjoyed the sights, then started the Championship with a couple of close wins.A whopping 3% complete! ^_^
I really hope that the MP patch(I think Tom said they were going to use Gamespy) works well enough for us spoiled PU mavens to enjoy the online fun.-^ Some parts of the roads look quite dark,as others have mentioned, and there are simply too many flying things in the game, like on the Area 51 tracks, Whew! Of course online,a horn is going to be missed too.=[ I understand they are already working on MBWR2.
Ric ;)
Hey great news Ric -^
One more great racer joines the WR club :D
I hope MP will be good, so that we can race wheel to wheel like in that picture soon.

Wow! cool pic FEZ! And thx! Im loving it so far! What is that beast like to drive? I'm gonna play it straight and just unlock the cars as they come,as I'm so crap against the AI at the moment! ^_^

Hey, where do you find all the time to take screenshots and post here ??? I'm so stuck to the game that I can't do anything else in the free time ^_^
Anyway, I'm also unlocking the cars one by one, trying to drive them all when I earn a new one ;) But some are just repetitions of other ones...like in PU anyway.
I'm now at about 20% done, level 4 I think, got about 60 cars. I've set the AI strength to automatic and from an initial 80% it's grown to 99% automatically...it's getting everytime harder and sometimes I just have to accept a second place :") But all in all I'm not so bad, I win 60% of the races without cheating :HB:

Corrado,U are playing this and that Nascar 2003 as well? Where do U find the time to sleep?Work? Eat? ^_^ I'm doing the same, but I've only got 4% done, just time for a couple of races a day.:'( I'll have to raise the AI strength back up tho,as on Dynamic, they were killing me in the one on one races. Now I'm winning a bit too easy,so I'll raise it up a bit.
LOL I can understand you Corrado,
I have to force myself to do screenies of some good scenes after the races, the urge to just keep on driving is very high :)
I really wish for savable replays. Can you remember the good old times when you could save replays and even better cut them like a short movie. )=)
Hehe Corrado you are just too good when the AIs are at 99% :)
I think dynamic is better and also easier, if you screw up they overtake you but they adjust their "talent" to yours so you can catch up again. If you fix the AI to say 95% they just drive their mistake-less race and if you make a tiny mistake they are off and not seen again. You have to adjust the strength to 40% to set it to PU AI levels ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Put it to dynamic: believe me (and believe FeZ, too ;) ), it's much fun, they just keep your pace, waiting a little bit when you crash and pushing hard when you lead, so you're always in the pack and you're forced to drive better.

I did put it back on Dynamic, and except for one race,I've been first by a couple of secs,or 2nd.One race tho,a one on one,me in an A190,and the other guy in an AMG something, argh! He killed me on that twisty race track @ the Test Centre.:help:

Yup, I had to stop and re-start it twice or more to complete it, too...It reminds me of that Corsica race against Rolf on the Carrera RS....I think I did it at least 10 times before moving to the next stage! &(
I think the strength settings has no real influence on these Missions. I think in these missions the Ai have a "fixed" fix setting.
Try to set the strength to 40% fix and see for yourself.
The trick when you are in a slower car is not to let the other car pass on the straights, you are usually faster than them in the corners, but dont let them past you on the straights, make them brake by blocking them, drive figthing-line :)
Also later on there is a Mission where you drive 2 laps with a GTR and the mission is to catch an A-Class that started half a lap ahead of you. You have to drive a fast error free race (you also cannot drive it slow and save !!!!) to finally overtake him just before the finish line. So I think the Mission cars are fixed to a certain percentage that you cannot change.

Done. The AI strength HAS effect on missions. I was running the "generational gap" mission for ages with Dynamic strength closing always as second. I've put the level to manual at 95% and I won :)
I've also made other tests, and the AI in missions seems to be affected, too.

Ohhh so I was wrong,
I had serious troubles with one of the Missions in an A against an SL or something. I tried it several times, and even after I set it down to 75% he was overtaking me before the first corner and was pulling away after that. I finally managed to beat the AI by not allowing him to overtake me and driving unfair tactics :)
