It's just a normal Carrera 2 3.4 (or maybe Carrera 4 3.4) with the Tequipment options. And the wheels on it are just normal optional 18" wheels available for the Carrera series. I knew someone with a Carrera 3.4 Tiptronic, with those exact same wheels, they are about AUD$7000 option, if I remember correct. You can pick GT3's easily. Just look closely through the windows, and if it has rear seats, then it isn't a GT3. The GT3's have no rear seats. The rear firewall was moved forward to accomodate some other things in the engine bay. And GT3's also have a lower, more squat stance than a normal 996 series Carrera. It's hard to describe, but you definately see the difference between a real GT3, and a 996 Carrera with Tequipment options. The GT3's front bumper bar is almost scraping the road, nearly, since it sits so low. A GT3 is also much louder than normal, making a very distinct rumbling. |
