since we were talking about brakes before, isn't funny that the HSV GTS coupe shares the nearly same braking system and hardware as the HRT car does:

HSV 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, Grooved and Cross-Drilled 362mm front and 343mm rear discs

Yes, the HSV GTS Coupé has pretty amazing brakes, and pretty awesome power!

Just a pity the add-on body bits (wing, front bumper, etc) look so tacky and ugly.

The base Monaro CV8 is superbly handsome from every view point (I should know, too.. But, I leave you guessing as to the meaning of that comment..)

But, speaking of brake sizes, how about the Monaro the Peter Brock is racing in the Targa Tasmania? That thing has better brakes than the HRT V8 Supercar shown above!!

Unfortunately for Brock however, I doubt he stands a chance of winning Targa Tasmania, given the fact that I heard that a few competitors will be racing the new lightweight 462hp 911 GT2 Clubsport coupés. Brock's modified Monaro CV8 is fast, but the new 911 GT2 is just in another performance league altogether.. How does 0-1000m in just under 22 seconds, at nearly 250km/hr sound? And it's still in standard showroom specification... (If only I could afford one..) =((
