Me and Matt have been working on a HSV version of the monaro. Personally i think HSV haven't done justice to the beautiful body, but i suppose most of you are brainwashed into thinking HSV is always better. NE way, the coupe is on its way to NFS4. this model has 3D rims that killed nfs as the poly count was pushed past 10,000 limit. i hate to have to make you do tricks like turn off the glaze (i mean chrome), so i made a Medium LOD body, which i used instead of the HB, which dropped the poly to under 8000 and allows the car to be played in-game properly, and still keep my 3D wheels. Now youve read this the pic has probably loaded.

The high body will be kept for newer games that can handle it. Oh, and i will change the driver for a new one i thinks...

we know all about racer, it's even on my website. i can't run it on my computer yet, so i wont be doing any cars for it until i can. send geforce3 donations to...:rolleyes:

racer runs on my celeron 533, sort of, it only has 4mb of onboard memory so you cant see the textures on the car but the track i downloaded looks good.

I can't get racer woking on my dad 1ghz celeron let alone my 233 PC with a 16MB 3D card.

Racer Ran smooth on my comp, but everything looked distorted, so l gave up

ok, lets stop sucking kevs balls here (no offense) but umm, how can that be jaw dropping when its in very early stages, it will be great i can imagine but its a start. i agree with you too kev, as much as i love my holdens and hsvs, i agree that the body kit didn't deliver all what it was cracked up to be; the nose is the prominent feature on the car and i think it looks wimpy. I reckon hsv should have atleast tryed something with aggression maybe a few characteristics of the (what i like to call) "insane clown" nose as seen on gts 4 door, maloo, clubby and XU6 models.

I think HSV went for the rounded look on their Coupe, because they probably wanted to see the reaction of the public. Thats what I think they did with the transition for the VT to the VX. The VT had the more "curved" feeling to it, and the VX looks more like its after some road kill in the city. Eg: VT = Baby's Bum, VX = Pitbull :p. I love my HSV's, don't get that wrong, but thats just how I feel about their venture into the curvy sports packs.
I still love kevs car!

BTW: I have modified the video properties file in Racer, so it will possibly run on your comps. I tried to send it to Matt, but it didn't get to him in the end I don't think.

Yeah I'm not too keen on Racer anymore.
For a start I cant get the controls right. Secondly it keeps crashing and thirdly the textures look crap.
I was looking into editing cars for it but I gave up so I hope Kev or anyone else whos going to has fun!!!
Racer looks like it might turn into a good game with just a bit more editing.

BossRacing took a look at converting to Racer and i think it was a bit much for him. i've got all the tuts, so depending on how hard it is to convert will depend how much i support it.

She was the girl in the monaro, but she's been kicked in favour a of a bloke for the HSV. (i'd say it was a 'mans' car, but we're supposed to be in the 21st century, so no 'back in the kitchen' jokes).
I couldnt' find any colour schemes for the car, so i used artists interpretation (btl: i made em up). should be up this w/end.:Peace:
Now its back to the V8 Superfalcon :p which looks great except for the front lights, which i can't seem to get right =[ , which is the same reason the EH hasn't appeared on deck yet. Sorry all, but better great than mediocre.....
