Anyone tried CITY?

Downloaded it from Tantra 2 days ago, a very "different" kind of track compared to the others IMO, I guess we can have some great fun there in the future :D

It has much tunnels, and the road is very city-like :)

The track is without any rubberlines, makes it more tricky &( to learn, let's hope Tantra make an update soon.

Hiya Madsman!:cool: I tried the CITY track but I didn't like it much,as most of it is spent driving thru rather featureless tunnels.&( So I ended up deleting it.I also tried AIRBASE,by Tantra,but I can't get it to run.GTR crashes to desktop after a few secs,when I try loading it.I wonder if they are 2 of his earlier tracks,because his newer ones are really quite good.-^

There is an update for the airbase track available from http://tantra.m4driving.sm/

I think you just have to put the extra texture, in the track directory for Airbase, and it will work. Airbase is a lot more fun than the City circuit. I tried city, and didn't really like it a lot.

I also think the City is pretty "messy" :D , but just imagine when Historic Touring Cars arrives, we can have some rush-traffic messup-bangbash crashparty with e.g Volvo Amazon's versa Saab V4 :D in those tunnels.

I think the tunnels are very realistic, I got a very real tunnelfeeling in there (glad we don't need aircon-hepafilters in the games cars ;) )
IMO it's a "non-race" track, by that I mean it has blind dangerous elements that force you to know the road well before it's possible to go really fast, e.g the groundlevel-diff at some of the "intercourses".

Hiya Madsamundo!:D :beer: I think I'd like those tunnels a bit more if there were rows of light along the walls,and maybe some arrows to show a curve,as my old eyes just don't pick up the curves early enough!&( :help: I usually run into the outside wall and wipe out!^_^ =(( I'm looking forwards to some S L O W E R cars being available too.I have the M3 mod,and I like those cars!:love: Lots a fun,although I wish there were more tracks.

I picked up the 360 Challenge mod, it's okay..

The cars have this sort of strange feel to the, like they always have oil on the tyres, sort of..

When the do start to slide, there is a track to catch it, and it goes like this:

1. Close eyes
2. Hope to god you hit nothing!

Maybe it's the steering wheel settings, I don't know, but it seems hard to catch the slides.

I'm not sure I see the point to the 360 Mod,since you can race the 360 in GTR on the same tracks,no?:confused:

Hia Fredric maty,

The 360 Challenge mod is a BLAST, the difference is that you can't do as much adjustments to the suspension and such things in the 360 Challenge as you are able to with the 360 Modena in GTR2002, the 360 Challenge is much closer to a stock streetcar, because it has no wings or increased airintakes.
I have tested it 2-3 laps at Nordschleife, and I liked the car alot -^ , felt abit more realistic IMO :HB:

Argh.The link for the Airbase update d/l @ Tantra's site no longer works.:confused: Are there any alternate d/l's for this update?
