Today i spent the day running the Gti online. At first i was only hitting 140s then 138s and after realizing my gas pedal wasnt going the whole way down i manage to knock off a 136 and then a 135.99. i thought man i am fast, just then several players entered and ran 131s and 132s back to the drawing board.

There is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAY a GTi can run 1:31s. I think u were racing with some cheaters. there are quite a few of them, u have to be careful who u race.

1:35 is an awesome time for the GTi, congrats Bug, I know i cant go the fast with it.:)

Im not sure as these were some team guys. they were fast and ran really good lines so good that i went into spectate mode. I even got one of the setups from one of the guys. I will post it here. Damn fast guys and very polite.

The fastest I have ever heard of anyone go in a GTi is 1:34.9x. I just raced to day with some of the ART people and they do high 34s on a good day. I'm pretty sure they are the fastest.

There are also people who modify the cars only by a bit (ie 5% more grip and 10% more power) so that it doesnt seem like they are cheating. I have caught a couple of them before. One guy argued with me for an hour untill he finally admited it. Just goes to show you how desperate some people are ^_^

BTW, I raced ART_MATH today and after kicking my ass with the GT, he said his PB is 1:34.71. I almost fell off my chair when I heard that.

well i might be able to break into the low 135s but i dont forsee any 134s anytime soon. It took a week of racing and playing with setups to get to 135 and now for some stupid reason i cant get better than 138 again. Also a quick question. how do you know what replay is what. I have like 50 replays is there any way to save a name to them?

Dont worry about the 1:38s I have bad days too. Sometimes I can't go under 1:29.5 with the turbo the whole day. Also, when u race online be aware of the wind speed on the track (it's usually displayed at the beginning of the race) Wind can slow down your lap time a lot, sometimes 2-3 secs if the wind is high.

I set my replays not to record automatically, it just takes up too much HD space and u also forget which replay is the one u want too keep. I set my replay save option to manual save. That way u can save only the one u want by pressing the number 2 key after the race. A message box comes up in which u have to give a name to the replay, then it saves it for u.
