Check out this thread (http://www.sbdt.co.uk/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=38&t=15771). There are some WIP shots that I think many of you will find unbelievable. Especially you Aussies.
I would tell you what IT is but that would spoil the surprise. :)

I must be seeing things...
SBDT doing Bathurst? I thought it'd never happen.
Good luck with it, anyhow. :)

Next question, I have. Have you people obtained permission to use this track, from the original developers of it?
Yeah that is amazing hope they make the most detailed Bathurst track ever made but wat would be best is the older style with out the chicane towards the end so u can go 300km/h+ and have time to slow down.

I know what you mean VQ, but I don't mind the "Chase" all that much; to be honest it's the Big Dipper I miss. Not sure how recently they re-did the dipper and made it a normal corner; and although I acknowledge the obvious safety improvements, I'd have to say Bathurst lost something a little special when it lost that dipper - it was so good to watch, and would be great to drive (in a game).
yer one day when we can edit V8 Challenge tracks we will make a nostalga version hoopefully with Chargers, Toranas and GTHÓ's roaring around and for once, the Chrysler will win.

Well, we asked for permission and were denied.
Hopefully, ChrisK or someone else can pull it off.

There is hope again (http://www.simbin.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=38&t=16893) ! Now we just need an AIW file made which shouldn't be a problem. Just a question of time now. :)

Looks like you can forget that idea too. :nono:
Instead of converting, how about building the track from scratch.
Legally much less dodgy, and you can truly call the work your own, when it is done.

There are now two mods worth of tracks in the queue. Bathurst looks unlikely from the SBDT right now.

No - I am not involved in the V8 mod that is being developed now.
However I am part of a different team that is working on two other mods.

He's SBDT, works on Quality Assurance I think.
They've done so far:
GTR2002
360 Challenge mod
Coming soon:
F1 1977
World Sports Cars (the ultimate, with the ultimate beasts, the Can-Am cars in it too).

I expect GT Racing 2003 will be out before WSC.
My primary duty is web admin but I do other stuff too : testing, car construction, utilities, etc ...
BTW - Bill T. has a Lola T260 in game now. More coming soon.

I've seen it already, and he builds good stuff. Is he actually SBDT, or not?
But what I prefer has 4 more cylinders and 2 turbochargers. ;)
I never really liked the Can-am cars with the mountain engines in them. Some of the engines were just getting too large. Like the pontoon nose March (717 I think it was called??)with the 9.1 litre V8..

Bill is not in the SBDT. I am just helping him out.
