Hi all,

I just tried LFS, and it seems like fun. I take every corner with smoking tyres. That may not be fast, but it is spectacular :)

The driving feels very realistic and the graphics look great but the menus are just a horroshow. I guess it shows that their priority lie on the driving part.


I did check the FAQ but did not find what I was looking for, so maybe you guys can help me.

I cant wait to try the RWD cars (more spectacular cornering), so can anybody tell me how many points I need for the GT/Turbo ?
I only have 30 so far :(

Is there a way to enable damage/defects ? I did not find anything to enable it. Or does it just not show ?

Oh and I did a 1:46 so far, but I havent played around with the setup much (as i dont understand what most of that stuff means anyway)

You need 180 points!

Heres the deal if you really wanna get there fast... set the difficulty to pro put 3 laps/race and race against the AI. The AI is relatively easy to beat so it souldn't be too much trouble.

The thing is Fez You shouldn't take the corners with smoking tires, it drastically reduces your times. Try to take the corners cleanly for the GTi most of the corners should be taken at 80 km/h +... if you get that rite you should have no problemmo getting 180 points... BTW if you do what I just told you ... you will get 48 points per win... GL!!

Man 180 points, I guess I do some quick 3 lap/Pro races to earn some more points, rather than long 10 lap/newby races that only get you 3 points :)

I know smoking tyres are bad for laptimes, but its fun :) I will try to brake a little more now.

I also found the setups that Chef posted, I will try with these :)

hehehe, finally I could set up my controller (that 2nd joystick was speeding up all the time & I couldn`t break)
d/l the latest patch and took a first run on he GP track with the GTi (setup provided by the game)- more sliding then anything else

was fun, maybe I can shave some time from PU :D

Check the setups Thread i provided a descent setup. Bug has a better 1 but he hast given it to me yet.

d/l them already..but it seems to get worse againt more then 4 opponents

I could gain 32 points againt 2 AI racers, but againt 7....geez, they always kick me and even with your setup I can`t get a clear line

but with a bit of practise...well I keep trying

Maybe that is why i can get below 1:39 now. i have been running with 8 players and man it is hard. if you dont pass half of them in the first turn you might as well just give up. they are flying! hehe
