I have now finished my assault on Magny Cours where I only managed a 1:39.748 in the 360 which is 108th in the NGT cars. I was on the limit and feel that is as good as I can do there. The two previous laps failed the lap check because I was pushing so hard. Those guys doing 1:35 are damned amazing

I have the feeling that they are possibly running very low rear downforce, and or have got a setup that allows them to turn into the turns very well. Half of the difficulty is getting the car to turn in responsively.

Upon modifying my controller settings, I think that makes a huge difference, too.

Doing a few laps of Spa in the Viper, and then the Lister Storm, proved that theory, after I'd made the changes.

Both much easier to control.

I'm racin a full 69 laps at Magny now, and this track is arghhhh &(

GTR-stats won't load at the moment, but I think I have a 1.39.xxx too, with GT3, I can't beat 1.40 yet using the Modena, and it's caused by the fact that I can't figure out how to do the curves smoothly enough, yet, just like Chris says.

I have troubles in good exit from Grande Kurbe (last part, the long U-right), then the braking and turnin at Adeleide, U-exit from Nurbergring, and the &( Chicane and into Lycée

That was almost the whole track ^_^

I know what you mean Mads. I downloaded a replay of Greger Huttu doing a 1:28.4 in the Lambo because I had real trouble muscling that beast around the track. I then checked his setup. He uses very soft spring and bump settings so he can drive aober the kerbs without losing control. I managed a 1:33 in the Lambo after that. I haven't tried the NGT cars using that approach and probably won't bother for now. It should be good for a 1:38 at least though.
