Here you may all share setups.
To make things a bit easyer for the drivers, try adding in a description of the setup (i.e. how it should be driven, either if its more GPL style, or the car is more under control when on the throttle, etc.)
The setups are located in the data/settings folder in he LFS directory. Files arent to big so i dont think anyone will have a problem with uploading the files.

The GT or GT turbo?
Both cars have roughly the same attitude, only the GT Turbo's s on a bigger scale.

Thanks for the setups Chef. I've had the game for a while but only played occationally. I have all the cars unlocked but have about 2 races on the turbo (what a handful!). If work ever slows down I plan to try the setups and spend more time with it. Then maybe I'll try online too. It really is a nice sim!

Thanks again
Jim

thx guys for the setups, after some runs I figured out how to drive the GTi (I noticed that I shift down to much when going into a corner)

I did a 1:40.2 and I could beat the AI racers fairly easy then :D

OK. Now how do I see Sean's car setup? I put it in the settings folder. Where should it go and how to view it? :help:

before you start a race you can click the "garage" button, in the upper right corner you should see - it click it

Has anyone tried my setup yet? just curious how you guys did with it as it was my first ever setup and i was hitting some great times with it. I love the feel of the GTi. not much on the turbo. seems like a car you need to power slide through the turns instead of taking them the right way. Not sure if damage or anything is in this game or tire wear. I do see a pit stop so wonder about that?

yep, had a great time with it too, improved from 1:42 to 1:40, but I cant get under 1:40

the GT & the GT Turbo seem to be very slippery, I always loose control - the tail keeps sliding in slower corners

I didnt noticed any damage, although I crashed very hard on my 1st runs
when hitting "ESC" during a run yu can set up your car, adjust something...and more like that - that seems the only reason why a pit is there

Cool i am glad it worked out. 1 thing i did find out was to make the final drive ratio about 322 and it seems to get you better times with my setup. I have also been playing with tire pressure and toe. will let you know if i get anything good.

I saw it in person in fact there were several guys who ran 133, 134 i was running 136s i actually step out for a bit and watched him to try and get the lines and improved my time to 135s with alot of mistakes compared to him so i think 132 is doable. i dont know how long it would take of constantly racing the gti but he said that is the only car he races. look for him name is raptor i have seen him 3 times now.

Go to your LFS directory and then to the "data" folder... then the "settings" folder... there you will find all the setups.

you`re maybe mixing to things here!!

if someone says setup page he means something like
Wazza`s site (http://wazza.tk)
or the setup pages of the different teams like Team XR setup tips (http://www.team-xr.com)

[XR]Bug
06-15-2003, 11:26 AM
I see what is happening here. LFS and NFS are 2 different games that is why you cant find the directory.

It would be nice to see a little activity in here.:)

A link to a site with a few setups...
http://www.grownupracingunion.cjb.net

Also one of my own setups for the GT is attached.
RENAME file from XR GT_test.zip to XR GT_test.set This is not a .zip file, it is a .set file.
