The GTR mod has suddenly decided to CTD on me when laoding tracks :(

I tried re-installing the mod, but my dumb anti-virus decided that the 1.2 patch and all the add-on cars have viruses and deleted them :mad: I have disabled realtime virus checking because I then tried to downlod the stuff again and it deleted them all AGAIN =[

Right now I'm taking deep breaths before trying to download them yet again. It took one and a half hours earlier today so I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm also on the verge of dumping my anti-virus program :help:

Hope you fix it Dave, I know how you feel, don't give up!
Some of my tracks do that too, but only a very few, and they are "specials", e.g LeMans without chicanes (all the chicane-patches), and the Hockenheim update by Tantra :(

But in your case it sounds like that dang AV has gone crazy &(
I guess you reconfiguring it?
And, if your system is clean, just pull the net-plug and turn off AV when installing the mod, and if you can preconfigure your AV to do specific actions for folders, set it to not deleting the files it detects as viruses in GTR, maybe you even can configure specific filetypes to be skipped for scanning?

Whew, I managed to stop the realtime checking and I have stopped the AV from deleting infected files. I have the mad working in Test mode now, but it still crashes when I try to do a race. The CTD is just when the track is finishing loading :(

Even though I am selecting only N-GT cars, all the cars are on the track during Testing &( Also the car sounds different now - especially under deceleration and braking :help:

At least I can have some fun is Testing :)

I noticed that I am cooking my right front tyre after about 4 laps. The left rear is a lot cooler than the others too, so I am wedging into the corners and understeering too much :")

Sounds like that might be a corrupted GTR2002 1.2 patch. My anti-virus software didn't scream about it. :confused:
