GREAT now I can add some decent cars other then the Ford Mustang. Can u adjust speeds and add parts or wat?

don't even consider adding anything other than pre1972(1978 for us) to this game as it will ruin it. also u cna't add new parts etc yet....and 3dsmax is required forget everything else

Couldn't i just use the plugin that I use to read 3ds max files from export? Ne way I won't relese cars newer then 1978 but I can make them for myself can't I?

As long as you have a program that will export using 3d Studio Max's *.ase file format, you can work with the game. As things are now, you can't really move the other parts around, but that will change.

Just to clarify on something Oz said, its 1972 and before for US cars, and 1978 and before for the Austrailian cars.

Street Rod 3 is a completely freeware game. That's right, you don't have to pay a dime to enjoy virtually racing and building muscle cars! :-)

well the latest news on sr3 editing is that soon you will be able to have a texturing system much the same as nfs. there will be alot of improvements in the next release which will also effect the tutorials above. the file format doesn't change.

i'll keep ya posted

VQ

Yeah I hope itz much better in the future with the NFS style textures and stuff and hopefully it will be easier for u to convert the cars cos I dunno about converting cos resizing is hard.

VQ yes thats right Im an idiot. I forgot to say that obviously I havent even heard of this game until now otherwise I wouldnt have asked about it.

I have to say I quickly checked out the site and kinda left it at that, thats why I asked such stupid questions:eek: Its called "being dragged away from what your doing and forgetting"

Anyways thanks for your help.

BTW Andy or VQ how exactly do you guys find out about these types of free games because the only one Ive heard about is racer (through AM) and another crappy one not worth mentioning
