Alright, this works in nfs4, and I've recently mastered it. So I wanna share! Here you will earn how to get really fast Lap Times AND not smash your car up, not ever touching the brakes.
It's fairly simple really, you aproach a corner at full speed, and then depending on how sharp the corner is, you let off the gas before you hit it. To pull this right you have to follow close to the ideal race line, aproaching the corner from the middle to outside, and then cutting right into the apex. you shoud however be turning just right to pass the apex with a slight tail drift. So going around a U turn, you start approaching the corner, at 0 degrees of turn. you should let off the gas 2 to 3 car lengths before the turn, and stay off as you turn before you hit the corner. You should go right by the apex with your car at a 170 to 210 degree angle to the road before you, Counter steer if you're too sideways. Make sure to straighten the car, as you leave the apex get back on the gas. You may have to shift down in the turn if you use a manual transmission. But it works. I can beat any track in my game with any car with no damage and top 10 lap times.
