some of you are no aware but im in takls with josh to have this forum either removed or renamed
i have retired. at least for the moment from gearhead garage. the game came to a rather explosive end recently on another unnamed board. imo ghg has been a good game to a certain thing but wehen you have a community that stabs you in the back the minute you start suggesting change.
so as of yesterday im now on a full time ,mission to create new cars for streetrod3 the game now has a 3d engine and it looks great for an alpha

this is just an example. i may return to ghg when the sequel comes out im unsure at this point

Hey andy I know exactly how you feel. The V8C community has done that to me and all members of Racerplanet who have something to do with V8c (people like Perko, VQ and Mickcals)
In fact when I tried to create my own forum my ideas ended up on Portstevos the next day, in one instance in under a day.
I told Ports I was creating a forum which will have individual forums for websites kinda like this (i.e. AM for AM, GHG for GHG, V8 Shakes for V8 shakes etc) and the very next day his forum had that idea. So I released mine and had forums on things like Meeting point for online racing and the next time I logged onto Ports (about 3 hours later whilst at school) his had the exact same forums setup (but now hes renamed them because I started to have a go at him)
It got to the stage I just let Mickcals fill me in on V8C stuff beause I refused to go or post there. IT hasnt been until recently I have started going back -> a story in itself.
I decided no more on V8C. I had never wanted to get involved, I just wanted to d/l stuff but I did end up getting invlolved, then I lost interest. But during the F1 at Melbourne I decided screw Ports and everyone else. V8 Shakes hasnt exactly been popular amungst people and I wanted RP to at least have a stab at V8C so I started Project BLueprint.
And still to this day people are stabbing me in the back. I am getting offers one minute from people to allow me to include their skins, then next Im getting told screw you theres a better mod coming out.
Even Kev's been geting into it telling people maybe they should at least let me include the skins as a download.
I even asked people at Ports if they were interested in Blueprint and to this day the only response I have got is people asking me can I do this or that.
I know there are better mods coming out which is very discouraging but I dont really care. I know Perko will download my mod and thats all I care about (lol)
So Andy I know this wont change your mind but Im letting you know I and RP is facing a struggle with the V8C community. They all snobbed Kevs VY because the texture layout was setup different and it may involves some extra work.
So I know how you feel

BTW I still find it amazing tho so many GHG cars can top the downloads especially compared to sites offering NFS cars. I never thought GHG was so popular amongst the RP community
Yeah that is bad news man and ur giving up on Street Legal as well andy? Ne way I' losing interest in V8 C but if I ever get to talk to Y2k I will help him as much as I can but all I seem to be doing recently is making cars because other games are getting boring. And nice to see u can get SR3 working as I love the originals.
Ne way hope this becomes a SR3 board and that this game is easy to work with like NFS4 so I dont' have to go to much more trouyble oher then the engine and extra parts cos I know lots of people at skool who would love to have a tonne of extra cars for a game which they can improve the car with upgrades like the original SR2.

yeah, hey andy like the name change to Australian Made but I still reckon you should have kept Boss Racing.
Question : Street Rod 3 any good or looking any good in the future through use of mods?

Well thats the things will computer games there just a fad one day there in style the next in the 1/2 price section, sitting there for years and years.
GHG and V8 Challenge are both limited with what you can do, but if myou were to combine them both then and only then will GHG and V8C rise again
Yeah but GHG you can add cars far easier and there ahve been been mods for it already, if u went back 2 years and Relesed V8 Challenge it would be a good game but not now.

yeah but VQ and Mickcals look at it this way too ... V8C has been in competition with V8RD ever since V8C was released.
Its not just how old it is or how easy it is ... its also the other games around it

my association with ghg is finished i will not be using this forum anymore as of today. josh is going to setup a sr3 forum and from there you can ask questions advice help with modeling and all the rest and you will also hear when new alpha's are out
the forum will also be linked to Aussie sr3 (http://aussiestreetrod3.racerplanet.com) as of today also boss-racing will be no longer im quite happy to say
