That could be something to do with something not installing properly, causing the crash to desktop.
I doubt this is a video card problem, since Albert Park loads okay.. Perhaps some of the other tracks got corrupted?
How about Autodromo di Monza, or, Curcuito Internazionale Misano? Do they load?

Try the tracks that Chris suggested and let us know how it goes. I would suggest deleting the GTR folders running the installer again just in case something was corrupted the first time.
Does the F1 part of the game work properly?

I had same problem, so I looked into the track-directories in GTR-season and compared them to the "F1-Season", also I compared the content in each tracks directory with others;
All the tracks that crashed my game had only 3 files in their directories, but the tracks that worked had more files.
I copied the missing files and then it all worked fine for me :)
In the Alfa147 mod, you have to click the "copy files" button at the "gamestart-window", if not you will only have 2 tracks to race.
Good luck!

And, if the track is a addontrack, my pc can't manage the RACE-option, I have to select TEST DAY to make it work...

It's great to hear your probs are finally getting ironed out.
I know what it's like and how frustrating it gets when this sort of crap happens. Let us know if your next download of the patch doesn't work and I'll upload my copy of it here at RP for you to try.
Good luck mate.

DOH! I knew I forgot to do something today.
Okay it's after 10p.m and I've just checked the letterbox.
Gawd dang letterbox is full of ants, probably because of all the rain. I had to drop everything on the ground to race back inside and get the fly spray. Good shit that red canned Mortein Fast Knockdown. -^
Have I dragged it out long enough yet? hehe
Okay
It's here thank you Dave. I didn't expect it so soon since mail from Goodna (2 suburbs away) usually takes 5 working days to get here. So I thought from Brisbane would probably take anything up to a week.
Thanks again mate, much appreciated. :hat:-^-^

So, how is Acca going with GTR? Any favourite cars, yet? :)

I haven't had time to check it out yet. Not long after saving it from my ant ridden letterbox I paid Jennie a visit.
When I returned home I got back onto the forums to see if Josh had answered/confirmed my post in the staff forum about an F1 2002. I wrote it lastnight and he still hasn't replied =[ ... although I have seen him on 4 (maybe 5) times today. :'(
As you can see I am still at the bloody forums. This place has me by the short & curlies again. :help:
Now I can only think of website presentations. &(
ARRRRRGHHHH!!! I should get some sleep and try GTR2002 in the morning. I'm going to need to make more room for it anyway.

Try the Ferrari 360 GT, instead. It's a better car to learn with, and a lot easier to handle. The rear-engined cars, and the large engined GT-cars can be quite tricky to start off with.
The rear-engined cars can be tricky under braking for a turn, and the big engined GT-cars are tricky because they have such huge amounts of torque and horsepower. Out of the GT cars, the Diablo GTR is probably the best one to start with, I think.
The Lister corners quickly, but, it can spin around quite easily, too. I find the Diablo more forgiving. The Viper has awesome power and torque, but, it's not very nimble, and, doesn't seem to stop as quickly as some of the others.. And the Marcos? I wouldn't recommend starting in that beast of a machine.. I haven't really driven the Ferrari 550 GTO much, so, I won't comment on it.
I will comment on the 993 911 GT2. It can be a little tricky at first, but, once you learn it's handling, you'll find that it is quite nice. It has quite responsive and quick steering, and, it has a lot of grip under acceleration, making starts quite easy.
The Ferrari 360 GT though, it behaves itself, and handles properly, like it should, unlike some of the other cars and their quirks. It really gets good when the tyres get up to temperature, then you can really drive it right on the limits. You also have to give the tyres some time to warm up, as well. And I believe in warming them up gradually, and not punishing them, by heating them up too quickly.

thanks Chris l'll give the Ferrari 360 GT a try :)
l mainly was using the gt3 because l found one the same colour as my nfs pu colours ^_^
l'm going to go and load up the enzo wagon and see how l go
just for the record l'm mostly likely learning this game the wrong way l
went straight in and turn all driving aids off my thinking l won't learn the cars with the puter doing every thing for me :D this way when l crash or spin off (which at the present time is alot ^_^)l'll know why and can work on that problem

Well, the best way to learn is with all the aids turned off, provided you've got a decent steering wheel, and pedals.
I use the semi-automatic option, for cars that this applies to, in real life, such as the real Ferrari 360GT.
For other cars, I turn off the semi-automatic option, and the clutch assistance.

You turn off clutch assistance, Chris? You have a analog clutch pedal or something? W/o clutch assistance, do you need to clutch every time you shift, or does it just enable the clutch to function? I can see how the clutch would be useful for starts and turning around quickly a la GPL, but if it means clutching for every shift, never mind... I'll go with unrealism there :)
I agree about keeping all the other aids off though... the only one I use is the clutch assistance. I manually shift because it's more fun for me that way, and damn the realism police ;)

I did go out and get a better wheel and pedal setup, that would allow more realism for specific cars, with the manual gearboxes, such as the Porsche 911 GT2, for instance.
With the clutch, you can also move away from the starts in the pits, nice and smoothly, too. And I'm pretty sharp with the old heel and toe trick, too.
But, for the Ferrari 360 GT, the Momo wheel and pedals come back out, again.
So, in short, I like to keep things realistic with the real car.
But, I'm not so obsessive as some of the hard-core race-simmers, though, who want a track full of turns, no straights, and, want to drive full manual gearboxes, no clutch assistance, even on cars that in real life have a electro-hydraulic gearbox, that automatically does the clutch for you, and, automatically blips the throttle on upshifts.. And I'm not joking, either.. Just visit the racesimcentral, and the sbdt.co.uk site, and you'll see that their are indeed people like that.

Hehehe Chris I've been playing GPL for almost two years now... trust me, I know there are people like that. For some, realism is more important than fun, or is fun itself, while I tend to go for "as realistic as possible while still being fun and not feeling like work".
Personally, I don't care if someone else uses aids, left-foot brakes and drives in the heli-cam view, if they are having fun and they aren't using cheats, I say have at it... in GTR I prefer the bumper view actually (IMHO I don't find the interior of the car on my screen to be more "real", since I see my monitor as the windshield, not as my eyes, and I only have one steering wheel and one pair of hands. I left-foot brake too :D Those would be fighting words, or words to merit scorn in some forums, to which I say :finger: :D

I'm using clutch for many of the cars too, a button on the Momo is used, it works pretty well except that it can only be pushed full in when pushing it, the retour can be adjusted by setting the digital-rate (CONTROLLER ASSIGNMENTS) (not much, it has to be fast when retour to get quick shifts), but it's far from perfect with a button as clutch, as Chris says it's impossible to not spin from standing start when a button is used.
The clutch can be a great tool when doing tight chicanes, to "neutralize" the drivewheels for some milliseconds.
I often catch myself in not letting off the gaspedal enough when I brakes, causes a longer brakedistance, I actually work against myself :o
Practice practice practice...

Wello: heh, that Viper is a beast.. It works well around Le Mans (the track is too bumpy) however. Steams along the straights, and more than makes up for it's mediocre brakes.
