Sounds nice, a lot smoother than the CBR-900 Fireblade I'm used of.

It goes like a rocket, but, god, it's noisy. I've been told it sounds almost like a Grand Prix car, for noise, by others.

Exactly how fast does this V8 thing go? A CBR-900 is good for about 285-290km/hr, and does 0-100km/hr in about 3.0 seconds.

Edit: Here are some technical specs:

http://home.mira.net/~iwd/750specs.html

Projected 120kW power output, and 17,000rpm! Better than the 900's 111kW@11,250rpm. Quite amazing. I hope it's reliable.

those spec are not for the bike pictured, they are for the other one, the naked bike makes 116kw (155hp) at 15000rpm and its capacity is 1000cc fuel injection and ignition are controlled by a Motec M800. dry weight is 205kg

205kg? Oh.. That's heavy..

One problem though is the cost.. The Japanese superbikes are mega quick, and, not too expensive, either.

How one of these 8 cylinder things would compare with say, a Yamaha YZF-R1, or a latest spec Honda Fireblade, or a $21,990 Honda VTR1000 SP2, well, I'm not so sure.

you seem to no a bit about bikes, yes?

what do you think of a Honda VTR250 (new one) as a learner bike?

got a better idea?

OK, so they decided to copy the basic style of a Harley/Buell and added an Ausie V8 engine to it.
