Radical-Al 02-19-2003, 12:11 PM So far with MY own setup (and will continue to be that way, at least on monza) on monza... the only track I know how to be at least slightly competitive. The other 10 tracks are unknown and I have haven't been able to do them with a time. I got most of the mods for the game, as far as cars, and the Monza 809 track update. name on GPL is Alex_Marks, I have already seen Matt (DCMattius) Paul or WC_sting, mikey_g and phil, or wc outlaw. D_Man 02-19-2003, 01:14 PM Alex, the Monza 809 is an old version of the update. Fred Faster has the latest version on his site for download. Unfortunately I do not have the URL for his site here at work. I'll see if I can post it tonight when I get home. If you are having trouble accessing the Racesim Central forums, just e-mail them and they will get it sorted out. They are extremely helpful. And for some reason, I think its gettin harder and harder! Radical-Al 02-20-2003, 05:48 PM mmm, today I got a 1:29.18... with a 4 speed! lol, my 4-speed does 195 before i have to start braking... its the only setup that is right for me now... 5th gear is not even needed. I know, I know, I should use a 5 speed, upshift quicker, and not so long of gears... but I never have to shift on a corner except for the corner after Curve de grande or whatever. Its my best setup so far (well the 1:28.62 was, but that is way long gone now... been tinkering too much) I got all the GPLEA cars. Graphics ain't a problem. D_Man 02-20-2003, 06:14 PM Alex, the setup that I use is good because it means very few gear changes. I change down to 4th through Curva Grande and back up to 5 th. Then down to 3rd through Lesmos 1 and 2. After going back up to 5 th heading to Ascari I only have to go back to 3rd for Parabolica. It is a good low-stress setup that rarely has me blowing engines.
