So, what's your best lap time with the Ferrari 360 GT on Monza?
I admittedly, do not race the 360 GT very much, so I 'm looking to find out what the good lap times are for this car. I think it probably should be around 4 to 5 seconds a lap slower than the faster GT cars.

When I raced, it was in practice, and the track was still wet, but, I did a 1:51.96 (fastest was 1:51.49 by Ortelli in the GT3 RS).
I didn't have any assistance options turned on, at all. I don't think I could have gone any faster than that. I tried, but, it was too slippery, still.

I'll have a go and report back, but I know you are a lot faster than me at Monza Chris so it probably won't tell us anything :D

Well I did some laps in the JMB Racing Ferrari and with my dodgy setup my best lap was 1:56.229. This lap had 2 mistakes which makes me think a clean lap would be high 1:54 to low 1:55 - ie about 8 to 9 seconds slower than my GT class times.
Chris I know you are 4 seconds faster than me in the GT cars so translating that difference to the F360 would put you around the high 1:50 - but that is just a rough estimate based on my times.

just had my first few laps of Monza, first to were 2min+ (for obvious reasons).
my 3rd and 4th laps were both in 1:57m both with two mistakes, i think my times will be around the same as D-Mans:D , i hope anyway:")
and i was using the "grip" setup:rolleyes:
EDIT: i was driving the JMB car;)

I just stiffened the suspension a bit and did a series of 1:54 laps - the best of which was 1:54.038. If I could get the gearing and suspension sorted a bit better I might get a 1:52, but I'm not too confident :(

Look in the ..folder that is mentioned in the setups window (where you can load and save setups).
Their is a set-up for the 360 GT for Monza, that works quite well. I adjusted it a bit further, and slightly increased the steering lock, and took off a little bit of downforce (not too much though).
I'm not sure if a can upload a replay for you people to see (where are they located), but, if I can, I'll try an upload one, so you can see the lines I'm driving.
And, I'll tell you something.. Watch the exit for the chicane after the long Curva Grande. It has some changes of surface, their, and is a bit bumpy, and it's really easy to spin off.

LOL - Chris I just did a 1:52.856 (adjusted the gears a bit and took some rear wing off) and came here to ask if anyone knows where I can download replays. I want to see what lines the fast guys use, because I am sure that I am not using the best lines - despite my poor setups :)

Great to see you knocking those times down Matt :) Don't use me as a benchmark though because I am definitely a newbie at this :D
I downloaded Doug Anao's setups and after testing the 360 setup at Monza I tweaked the gears and steering ratio more to my liking and got a 1:52.216.
If anyone wants Doug's setups they can be found on the SBDT site -^
I have searched everywhere for replays but can't find any :(

Prize, the 360s are the multi-coloured JMB Motorsport Ferraris in the N-GT class. When you launch the game you can choose which class you want to race - GT, N-GT, 24hr and combinations of these. If you choose N-GT then click play you will be able to select the Ferrari :)
Let me know if you have any problems -^

I just did a 1:53:335, using Doug Anao's setups .
Is there a way to turn of other cars during test day? i had two real quick laps going, then two slower porsche's infront of me slowed me down :'( :nono:

WOW - great time there Matt -^
You can turn on private test days on the options ;) That gets rid of those pesky Porsches hehe :)
BTW, I am now using the nose-cam mod. It is a lot like bumper cam in NFS games but positioned a bit higher - sort of roof level. I get a much better view of the track and it is easier to judge the entry into a corner. I'm not any faster with it, but it makes driving slightly easier.

I just did a race in the GT3 and found it to be a bit slower than the Ferrari. It feels fast, but the times are about a second a lap slower - weird
Here is what my driving view looks like now :D

It is indeed slower than the Ferrari. It's just not as well balanced as the Ferrari is. It's to do with the Ferrari being mid-engined, and the Porsche being rear-engined.
The Ferrari is just about the best handling mid-engined car that you can get, and the Porsche is about the best handling rear-engined car you can get.
But their is a small difference between them. I find that you can attack the braking areas in the Ferrari with a bit more confidence, because you know its tail isn't threatening to slide out.

Look here prize:
SimMods Forums (http://www.simmods.com/forums/)
There is a lot of useful information in the sticky threads, and I think Doug's setups are there as well.
Here's another site for setups:
Gearbox (http://gearbox.mart-in.com/)
There you will find setups from GrantR, who has a negative ranking.
Go Here (http://www.findthelimit.com/) to download a telemetry program for GTR2002 and sign up for the rankings.
Good Luck! :)
