View Full Version : 1:25@Monaco???!!!!
Chugging around at about 1:35 per lap, I crashed out right before the last turn and when I got to the startscreen it showed that my last lap was 1:25!!!!!! I watched the replay and my car went thru the wall and over the start/finish line backwards ... 10 seconds ahead of what it should have been.
Now my GPLRank is off by 10 secs...... can I get that fixed? Or am I stuck with it until I get down to 95% with all my other cars? lol

Hank, you can do one of 2 things. You can just delete the line in your player.ini file and go set a new PB or you can edit the time to what it was before. I prefer option 1 myself, but it is up to you :)

Well done, Hank ;)
I was just checking my buddies time yesterday night, after the usual desperate attempt to improve my Challenge Rank, and I ran into your odd Monaco laptime...I couldn't warn you and you were already fixing it :D
So how does that ChallengeRank work? do you have to change the 'season' file? And does that affect your GPLRank?
I'm still pretty focussed on getting my GPL and Monster Ranks down.... but the other tracks are a refreshing change :)))
Many thanx in advance
Happy, successful racing :))))))))))))))))))

If you didnt upload the bogus time, then you could always do the "Generate ini file" on gplrank. It will do just as it says...generate the text of what your player.ini's times were on your last upload. You can search out the particular time and replace it. Since you've already fixed it, this could still come in handy for future reference. I have heard of some people getting corrupted player.ini's and having to completely rebuild one from a backup and the gplrank generated one.

Unluckily for Hank he did upload the bogus time, since I saw it on his score table, so he couldn't fix the player.ini in this way.
Next time, when you see a bogus time at the end of a race, do as suggested BEFORE uploading your player.ini. You can check the best lap time after each race (it's highlighted).
About the Challenge rank: you need to save a replay of your best lap for each track not in the GPL default list, then use the "PB viewer" functionality of GPLRA (GPL Replay Analyzer). It lets you see all track's times and upload them to GPL Rank (and save it locally, if needed)
many thanx..... I'll have a go at some of the tracks for ChallengeRank and see if I am consistent with my present GPLRank....
Thanx again :))))))))))))))))))
