Is this a subtle hint? ^_^ , too bad i didnt' have these before i built my VK commodore.
Anyway, thats a nice car, i hope someone finds it useful. Now if more people would do this, our job would be a lot easier. (that's another hint)

i can give you the best tips i have for making your own texture, all you need is photoshop (u could do it in psp, but the results may not be as good).
1. open carcad and your car, do all mapping (eg remap)
1.5 - switch to (4) uv view
2. press 'Alt' and 'Printscreen' (prt/sy, or prtscr)
3. make a new pic in photoshop and paste it. (ctrl-n, ctrl-v)
4. crop the bits around the actual uv screen (ie windows bar and toolbars)
5. resize it to 256x256 or 512x512, (unclick the constrain proportions)
6. you now have a layout of where the pics need to go.
7. copy side picture into the texture and resize it to match the uv mappings.
8. do the same with front/rear
9. for top, just choose a colour and fill squares with it ( i usually select the roof area and delete it to colour).
10. blend/flatten as needed.
11. need it grey for colouring? select only the body coloured area, copy to new image, make b&w/greyscale, copy back onto original picture, you should have a grey car with coloured lights, etc.
hope you can read this (no its not in portugese)

I wonder if Acca has read it and would like to put it in his pile of tutorials?????
oh, Goof, my brother would like to know why you call yourself y2kgoofball, were you duped by the 2000 bug?
(i swear it's true, please dont be offended.)

LoL!!!
Nah fair comment.
I got the name in 1998 when we first connected to the internet. I was siigning up to a chat line thing..
Back then was the big time Microsoft etc were  about the y2k &( bug.
It was a hot issue ... only 2 years to mass destruction=[
Anyhow y2k was taken (gee wonder why) so later that day I was watching the Simpsons with an episode on baseball. The Simpsons hometown Springfields (for all those who dont watch it) mascot is the Goofball.
So it hit me ... Y2kGoofball. Although I also have a story on spelling ... I used to just do Y2kgoofball with a little G but my cousin one day on ICQ said seeya later Y2kGoofball and I thought it looked cool with the two words seperated like that by that uppercase G
Anyhow that's my story ... no real significance but I have used Y2kGoofball on everything since we signed up in 1998.
Y2k
Ps Know anyone who got hit by the Y2k Bug (I swear I had nothing to do with it!!!)
