View Full Version : how do i slow down the steering Dylan 02-10-2002, 09:59 PM i need to make the steering in a car alot slower how do i do it? Synetearis 02-11-2002, 12:32 AM Thats also something that I want 2 know,..... since NFS steers way 2 fast.. Remko 02-11-2002, 04:20 AM I'm not sure how to do this in the carp.txt files, but I do know that you can use the in-game "Car Tuning" button in the showroom menu to modify the steering input of your car. Is that any help? Justin Martin 02-11-2002, 06:08 AM Lateral Acceleration Grip Multiplier - This has a major effect on handling, and is probably one of the most important handling settings. Low settings make the car less nimble, slower to react to steering inputs. High settings make the car more nimble and quicker to react to steering inputs. Nimbleness seems to be affected slightly by other settings also, so there is no real guide on what to set the Lateral Acceleration, because it will vary depending on other settings. Lateral Acceleration also seems to have a effect on grip, though not much. In general, keep this setting between 2.0 and 5.0 - taken from my Carp Editing Tutorial on http://pitstop.totalnfs.net Have fun! -^ Synetearis 02-11-2002, 06:26 AM Cool dude! thanx alot! this will come in very very handy 4 me!
