Interesting enough Harvey Norman now reckons that the 14th IS THE DAY!!!
When I rang them today they told me the 11th was the day the publishers release it and I must have been told the wrong information about getting a copy on the 11th.
So they now reckon 14th to give it 3 days to reach the store idea: !!
How the hell can you mix up the 11th as being the day it is released and the 14th as the day it comes out??
I thought it was strange that EB and Gameswizards both said 14th.

Yeah EB told me the 14th too..... after all of the other dates they had promised in the past.
Well technically, the release date means the day it is released to the public. So you weren't wrong in assuming that.
The physics engine is a real concern, some are saying it's as old as some 1999 games. :( Let's hope not.
The CodeMasters game would be better (with touring cars from all over the world), whenever it's released.

Acca,
it's the 13th now (that i'm writing this) and they tell me possibly the 14th now that's tomorrow.
But they wont confirm with me it is tomorrow there releasing it to the public. They told me to ring up in the morning and see. So now I have paid for it I cant get it!!!

Acca, that's a sad rumour about physics.
Do you, or anyone else reading this, have a contact at EA Australia? It would be nice to know if there will be a demo. Or what the physics engine was based on, and then whether its the same as that game or improved. Also, where it will be on display, eg: at the F1 race and any other places. So we can get lots of hands on feedback before laying out the $$

DC_Racecar : No, unfortunately I don't have any contacts in E.A. Aust.
To explain more about the physics engine rumour they claim it's the exact same as the "Swedish Touring Car" game which was a flop.
DC_D-Man and I were discussing it over a few beers after the motor show last weekend.
I hope it's only a case of misunderstanding as I know the games both used the same texture editor (made in 1999) and that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same physics engine.
So, like I said, I hope they were just confused by this.
I haven't heard of any demo for the game but that would definately help.
