problem with a couple tracks

track: adelaide
problem:
race mode - race ends before first lap is finished
practice mode - computer never gives control to player

track: New Zealand Rally Stage
problem: in any mode the computer is constantly crash recovering. never get to race.

any solutions?

I don't have the rally track but Adelaide works fine for me.

Hard to say what the cause might be without knowing what patches you've got installed. Most notably the 'ban_scene' because it changes how tracks are installed.

my original zip file for Adelaide is 2.76mb, or 10.8mb unzipped containing 10 files. Check that to see if your dl is missing something.

You don't 64+ tracks active do you??

i have same number of the files and same total sizes you mentioned.

as for any patch,
the only one i used is the one that pulls out the tracks into seperate files so that i can easily add more tracks. i think the name was what you said.

edit: and i have less than 40 tracks in scgt

If ya do have the ban_scene installed then track files from zips are placed directly in the folders without using a tool for repacking mas files, so you would be copying the 'aiw' and 'scn' files into the 'DAT' folder, the 'mas' files into the 'MAS' folder, and 'bmp' to the 'PATCH' folder.

Doesn't sound like you have the v1551pluspatch?? If not check out SNR (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/saturdayniteracing/). I have the basic patches in the file section there. Might be best to do a second install and start with the latest patches. All you need to do is rename the 'Sports Car GT' folder with an extension like 'old' and reinstall with the disc. Then the 1551pluspatch which is self installing and includes most needed patches.
