View Full Version : Update Failed - Porsche Unleashed bader214 02-08-2002, 02:12 PM Soo, i Installed Porsche Unleashed on my computer and i went to multiplayer, clicked internet games, searched for an update and found one, so i try to install it and it says Update Failed! Please Call Customer support at EA.com First off this make no sense, how do u call a website, and second, have any of you had the same problem? If so, whatd u do to fix it, see if i can save myself a long and annoying phone call with EA, thanks a lot guys! bader mack2313 02-12-2002, 01:20 PM I have had the same problem and seem to never get a response on this issue.. If any one has had the same problem let us know where to get the 16 mb update.. thankx jtace 02-12-2002, 01:38 PM Have you tried to reinstall the updater from the NFS PU CD and then clicked yes to download the update? The file to run is updater.exe on the CD I think. mack2313 02-12-2002, 01:42 PM I have clicked yes and i have also gone to the file on my HD and clicked it and nothign happens.. I dont get it, and this is after lots of reinstalls, my version is also 3.5 so i dont understand... It will take you to desktop during the update as noted in that thread. It takes a while if you have a slow connection. Occasionally I have heard the update server is down so you might have to try later. Also, I assume you went and registered for an EA Racing account and selected Porsche as one of the games you wanted to play on-line. Good Luck DC_Targa mack2313 02-12-2002, 02:00 PM I did what i found in another post i had to change in the fe.txt file castnet=1 to castnet =0 in two places and it worked.. now i have to go download the cars cuz i dont have some of them.. thank you for your helpp alot |
