Hi can anyone please advise on how I would go about getting the
stats for [XR]SUE52 removed from the EA and DR sites.

As some of you may know I have recently been greatly honoured by Team XR in being asked to join them but unfortunately I made an error in updating my original name, This has now been corrected (big thanks to Chey) and now I am creating new records under [XR]SUE

I am very keen not to annoy anybody by having my name appear twice in the same race record or to keep anyone out of a spot in the records.

While posting this note I would also like to say how great this game is and more importantly thank all the super people in the PU community who have become my friends/racing aquaintances and for providing such good fun along with the sheer competitive
thrills of racing online.

Hugs to all

Sue now a very proud [XR]SUE

I think you have only to send a message to KingPo (the administrator of the DR stats website).

His e-mail is on the main stats page (click here (http://www.deadlineracers.de/html/nfs5_eastats_eng.html)) I'm not inserting the E-mail address directly because it's not "polite" to do it in a forum without permission.

Thanks for your great racing last night (couldn't type it while online, you left too fast... ...as usual :) )

Similar requestes have been made to EA by other players. They have replied that it will not be done because it takes too much manpower to manually edit their database. So the EA stats will continue to show both names.

King Po at the DR site can arrange to have your name put on the "ban list" as one of those that have asked to have their multiple personas removed (rather than being listed as a cheater). However, please recognize that since the DR list feeds off of the EA stats, any times set by the removed persona will reduce the number of slots available. You may have seen that some of the DR stats show less than 50 times, but the EA stats show all 50. That is because the effect on the DR stats caused by mis-recorded times, cheaters times and removed multiple persona times is the same. They are simply not displayed (eg. '60 356B Bahn fwd times).

A reply from EA regarding my proposal to transmit the 'raw' stats data directly to the user community is pending. If that occurs, perhaps the issue of reducing the number of available top 50 slots can be eliminated.

Until that occurs, anyone considering a name change should consider the effect that might have on the stats.

See you in the pits,

huh. Didn't even think about it in my reply, sorry.

May it be because I totally don't care about EA stats? :D

Yes, Dennis, you're right, I'll keep it in mind (I recently wanted to change my persona name to a better one).

I'll wait then for the EA stats' outsourcing (not that my few top50 times would do any harm anyway...:o ), and maybe improve my skills to have a better reason - like SUE - for a name change...;)

Hi, Targa!

I respect you very much and don't mean to argue with you at all on this point, I have noticed, however, that I have an absurd time on the EA stats for Zone Forward in GT1, a time of 0:02.15. But on the DR stats this time, of course, and rightly so, is filtered out, yet I still show (on DR) the #17th time of 1:56:28 (Which does NOT appear on the EA stats). Whether that's an old time they're keeping track of for me and others (bless them!) or there is something else going on, like somehow, somewhere EA is keeping records on not just the "best" times, but others as well and the DR site is tracking this? I don't know the answer, but I am so grateful to the Deadline Racers and their work with their site! All I can guess is that there is a lot more data being kept either by EA or the DRs than just the top 50 times.

Also, in this same table, (DR stats, Zone, Fw, GT1) there are 70 entries. Again, I don't know exactly what's going on at the DR site, but they are keeping track of people's times better than what EA "shows". Even though EA shows me with an absurd time, DR shows me with a proper one. All good stuff. So I don't know (wow, I don't know a whole lot of things, eh? &( ) if a personna is put on the DR list, whether or not it "takes away" another's legitimate "slot". From what I can see, it doesn't appear to, but I admit to not being sure (hey, we blondes are easily confused anyway  )

Hi Chey,

the fact is that DR stats removes the "absurd" times from the table; moreover it "remembers" older times even when they disappear from EA so that your 1:56:28 isn't lost. It's like you never did that 0:02:15.

Finally, the new version of DR stats is keeping also the times when they should be "pushed out" because they're moving over #50, so you see positions 51, 52, and so on.

The real problem (which Dennis-Targa is referring to), is the fact that DR stats can pick NEW records only from the EA top 50 table. So, if one racer has more than 1 name recorded into EA top 50s, then DR can merge it in one sinlge name, but only 48 lines in EA stats are available for other people's records, and DR will never read more than 48+1 names, instead of 50. You don't see 2 slots on DR stats, but 2 out of 50 are busy anyway.

Hi, Corrado/Tox!

Thanks for clearing that up. Like I said I wasn't/didn't want to argue with Targe, I am aware he's far more knowledgeable than I am in these things, I was seeing something that seemed anomalous though. Thanks for straightening me out. It is greatly appreciated. -^
