I hear this track has been completed. How is it? What laptimes are you seeing?

The Nordschleife is great!!!

I've been waiting for it since forever.

My best laps are in the high 6:30s for both GTQ (with AOE on) and the Vintage Shelby Cobra (with AOE at original).

The only problems are that the pits only have 4 slots. They're in the middle of the front straight, not at the original start/finish line. There is also a ditch along the left side of the pit entry. If you get stuck in that, you go through the wall and refuel on the front straight. When the ai takes over to leave the "pit", it attempts to hit a waypoint and gets stuck on a post blocking the pit exit from the straightaway. (Answer? Enter the pits slowly.)

If you're interested, there are a couple of SCGT replays over at the Trophy Cup - a yahoo club. In the file section under hot laps.

Lap times will be alot lower than GPL, even tho it was converted from gpl it's the modern day layout that the public can go and drive today, the F1 circiut isn't included so the overall length is shorter.

For the most part it does very much feel like the gpl track and has all the same trouble spots, a couple of the straights seem just abit shorter maybe, or perhaps the car is getting out of the corners quicker maybe. I've run a '68 GP around a few times in under 6 minutes. Same cars as GPL but with rear wings and so a little more rear bite.

There's still a few areas being worked on, there's an aiw update and couple small fixes released already. Overall it's good tho..make sure you fill the tank...2 laps with mosts cars is all you get:)

I use very tall gearing. The GTQ Porsche tops out at 178/179 mph. I can get well over 4 laps with a full tank, but the tires are pretty well shot by the end.

For record runs, I use either 19 gallons for 3 laps or 13 gallons for 2 laps. Preferably the latter since the tires are going off by the 3rd lap. All of my best runs have been on the 1st and 2nd laps. Never on the 3rd.
