MMMmmmmMMMMm

this is reallly confusing me.. ^_^

Today... 1st off I race Cors bkw with 1960 356B and i start middle of field and do 2:46.46, and time doesnt record.. WR was 2:48.06, by Chaul.

So I race it again after 15 min of desperately refreshing the time. I do 2:47.21 from last place this time.. haha.. pretty darn good run.

So later, I decide to race it offline, and make a replay for my website.. expecting to do a 2:47/2:48

But I only did 2:51.65 on 2nd attempt...again seemed like a very nice run.... so this was much slower

THen to make it even worse.. I raced MC2 online with 356B yesterday did 1:13.28 I think, and 2nd place is 1:13.84... a fast time.. so i went to make a replay.. this time 1:13.06! faster time here...

So what is wrong with online to offline... soooo screwed up.. cant decide whether my car wants to go fast or not..

perhaps its the host person? like if they have a faster car like 95 Turbo.. or it could be me.. i hear the 95 sound and that makes me drive faster... ^_^

I also found "strange" differences, giving sometimes better and sometimes worse times.

Don't have a clue about the reason, though. Someone stated in this forum that car physics are different in a way that can give you boost or penalty depending on the track: online, the car is less controllable, has less grip, but 'bounces' better against walls/rails without losing speed, so you can understand that some track (and driving style) is affected more than others.

Well, I don't know about the grip thing, they all feel like they've got an enormous amount of grip both online and offline, it's just that online it's all numb and the cars seem to understeer a bit more.... plus it's a lot easier to hit walls, as we all already know.

For MC2, maybe you just did something a little different here and there unknowingly... slight changes in some parts can do that. And seing the more responsiveness of offline, you can take some tighter lines. With the wide corners on that track, it's not too hard to see how it can be done, I suppose.

Maybe something as well as the sound get's transfered? I dunno really.. It's all a bit hazy to me.. heh.
