I have some problems with my new V7100 PRO GeForce2 MX-400
When I use DxDiag (with DirectX 8.01), in the tab Display, I have the following problems.
The Approx. Total memory is N/A.
DirectDraw is unavailable
Direct3D is available, but fails when I test it, with the error "Direct3D test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8007000e (Out of memory)"
AGP Texture acceleration is also unavailable.
Of course, running 3D games does not work since I cannot create any 3D device.

I am running on Windows 2000, and I have installed the new drivers 5.13.01.1290 from Asus

My motherboard is a giga-byte 7ZM, I attempted updating the AGP drivers and my motherboard bios, but it didn't help.
I also tried reinstalling DirectX and my device a few times.

What should I do? Any Ideas?

Has that got the VIA chipset? If so, go for the new VIA drivers, you will niotice a world fo difference. I had real problems with the GeForce 2 MX 400 and eventually had to toss my ASUS K7V motherboard in exchange for a Gigabyte GA-7ZXR with the VIA KT133A chipset. I still had a few problems with choppiness at times, but after I got the new VIA drivers, I was laughing. You can download them here http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2

Effectively, my Gigabyte 7ZM has a VIA chipset. I tried upgrading it, but it didn't solve my problem. However, upgrading this thing is surely not a bad thing.

Since then, I've found a solution to my problem. In fact, my problem was more related to DirectX than to the card itself. I have uninstalled DirectX completely using DxBuster (because simply reinstalling it was not enough). After the complete removal, I've reinstalled DirectX and then everything was alright.

But thanks for your help, it was very kind of you
