Hank, have you got a Thrustamster wheel. I thought I saw somewhere that you were trying to get your brake working better. This thread might help you:

Which wheel do you use Hank? I have that ferrari wheel with those silver pedals...the new black ones suck so bad! Anyway, my wheel just died this past weekend, in that it would kill the power adapters that plug into the wall. So it wouldnt work anymore. I spent the better part of yester day gutting that wheel and making it into a 2 button analog wheel that plugs into the joystick port on my soundcard...and it works GREAT! The reason I did this and not buy a new wheel, is becuase I love these pedals so much! they are just perfect. My driving shoes of choice are clean white socks. I plany my heel and let the pedal slide under the ball of my foot.

I have a cheapy thrustmaster.... it is my 4th... they don't last long as I race a lot :))

But they don't seem to mind replacing them......

The brake paddle onthe wheel has gone on this one, so I'm using footbrakes now which I think is much trickier than the paddle on the left-hand side of my wheel.....

I'm gonna get a replacement real soon and see if my times improve without all that foot movement involved... also I can hold down the wheel brake paddle as I accelerate which has got to be a good thing :)))))))))

Just outa curiosity.. I got the GPLAIM download (not sure I got all of it :(( ), and now my frame rate is barely tolerable. I tried to slow down those fast AI racers, so's I could have more fun as I learn... but the best lap-time is still what it used to be :((

Any clues as to which settings have the most effect on slowing those mothers down a wee bit?

Many thanx :)))))))))))))
