View Full Version : my projects
A few of you probably know me from over at NFS Cheats, but I'm posting my projects here for those of you who don't. So enjoy the pics and let me know what you think.

And here's a 5000 poly wheel I made for fun. Most of the detail isn't visible in that pic. I'll be making a much lower-poly version for use on an upcoming project.

I've also got some other projects I'm working on, but they're not ready for me to show pics yet. So let me know what you think.

Man, that concept car is so wild-^ .

Ouch, they look great but at a high cost. I only have a Celeron 300A (CPU) running a TNT2. Your cars would never run on my setup or for those with not much better systems. If so they would find it extremely jerky to actually race against another vehicle.
I know I am behind the times with this old clunker but so are many others.
Keep up the good work -^ .... but not the poly count.

looks good, clad u came to show us ur pics :D
acca, l've made a car around 5000polys (thanks to evoness's 900polys wheels) and it run good for me, only the menu gets slow......
my system:
533celeron
16Mb Voodoo 3 3000
128 SD RAM
l know that is not close to urs, but l would say that it wouldn't be too much slower, but that TNT2 is shithouse(sorry)
PS: rob how to u plan to run V8challenge on ur PC?

5000 polys is far less than 7500. That is a huge difference on any low-end machine.

I will use the step-son's as much as possible but after that I guess I need to buy a balaclava, flashlight and gloves. ;) j/k of course.
He plans to upgrade this month and I said long ago that I would buy his Athlon 1Ghz when he does upgrade. Hope it's before the 11th. Cutting it fine aren't I?

damn, the pic took ages to load and l only saw the jeep wrangler that said 5000polys.......
while ur in ur balaclava, can u pick me up some ''presents''
I'm glad you like them. :) And Acca, my computer's slower. The computer I play NFS4 on is a 233 Pentium with a 6MB Voodoo 1 card and only 64MB of regular memory. And my cars run great on it. And I always have an opponent.

that supra looks pretty cool so far
l've seen some cheap attempts at Supras for the Fast&furious before(not saying there all crap) but ur one looks very good
Umm... actually it's an Integra- not a Supra. And I forgot to say.. CopperHeaD (from the NFS Cheats board) made the original mesh, but didn't want to finish it. I've just been improving on the original mesh.

the wrangler looks nice, i don't go for concept cars because i look for realism (how can you look for realism if the car isn't real) and the integra has a nice clean shape even tho in early stages
Hey!
What should I say?
I have :
AMD K6-II 500
Trident CyberBlade 8MB
128MB RAM(minus 8MB for grafix)
And NFS4 runs really smooth with cars up to 7000 polys(I haven't tried a car with more)
Thanks for the comments guys! I was told at NFS Cheats that there's no fog light so here's an update without a foglight.
Well no-one's posting, but I'll keep updating.

dis car is da bomb dude!!!!!!!!! sweeetnessss!!! thnx 4 keepin on updating ur car even though no1 is replyin. I think dis car is really good. Keep up da good work n keep updating.
I know wot it's like 2 have no1 replyin, heaps of ppl r lazy. I got 2 sweet cars (i think neways) not scratch, but they got sum of my own parts on them no shitty (not shitty but highly overly used) phang bumper, aggressor bodykit custom made. N i almost finished my second car which is a Nissan Silvia s-13 wit neon blue street glo ground fx (dont think it's been done yet, ground fx i mean)
I haven't released em yet, but i dont think i will.
But keep on updating coz this car is sweeeeet.
keep up da good work

Hey although I am an old fart who's into muscle cars that is looking very good mate. -^
I didn't say it before but I really like the Wrangler too. Sorry I also share the same views as "monaro" on concept cars but many do like them and yours does look well made.
That's amazing how you are getting such good performance out of your system. I must have been really bad in a previous life or something like that. I bought the lemon of all PCs.
monaro- I don't know about NOS and all that. Maybe I'll make a version with all that, but I will be making a stock Type-R version before anything like that. Chances are I'll be doing plenty of other versions including an FNF version.
Matthew Button- Don't worry about it. :D Hmm... I'll check the rear lights. I think they're accurate on this model-- maybe Gt3's model is a little off. I've got blueprints, and when I checked last they were the right size. I might have accidentally made them bigger or something- I'll check. And thanks for telling me. :)
Wazza- Thanks. :) So that IS you I see online sometimes. I don't think I've raced you before, but you're probably alot better than me! :)
Accadacca- Thanks. And I understand completely about the concept. It was to a large extent just a car to learn on.
I do have the special effects off right now on my computer, but if I defrag my harddrive, they don't need to be off. I'm just too lazy to do that. ;)

no skin off my nose if you don't do one, cos i don't want one anyway, was just wondering if it was going to be a heap of crap nos with wing body kit and unaptly named "fnf integra"

damn, sweet ride. keep goin coz it's lookin all good for an integra. take ur time n when u get an update, make sure u update here as well as nfscheats. :D
 :Peace: :D 8)~ 8)~
monaro- That's what I thought. And if I make a fnf Integra, it'll be accurate.
Just_PlaYin'- Thanks. And I'll try to keep both boards updated. ;)
Here's an update with rear-view mirrors and new rims!!

this is an example of what no one wants!!
http://dfsspeed.racerplanet.com/savidge/CARS/Other/ir02.jpg
Well obviously someone wanted that car or he wouldn't have made it! ^_^ I will be making modded versions, but I won't call them fnf if they're not.

I'm a bit late with reacting, but those are some nice models, my friend. -^
With the Integra, how many polys are we talking about?
Remko- Thanks! :) Umm.. I think the Integra has about 5000 polys so far. But it could be more.
