Will racer have a commercial release?

I'm wondering if racer will ever be released commercially.

It's something I want to get in to (I really want to to try it out), it's just I've not been able to configure my wheel to it.

I figure that if it gets a commercial release all that stuff'll be taken care of in the installation (I gess I'll just have to set about getting to grips with it).

Could someone suggest a good place to begin reading about Racer and how to run it?

i might be able to help with your wheel. i need to know a couple of things, 1. What is it? 2. Are you using split or combined axis for the pedels?.

No, Ruud doesn't intend to release Racer commerically. It is continually being updated though, eventually it should become like any other game, quickly compatible with everything.

My force feedback broke a few days ago and I've had to send the wheel back to the manufacturer-- it was an old Nascar force GT-- I think they've been discontinued now, so I don't know what they'll send as a replacement.

When it arrives, I'll check back here and see if I can get it working.
