I know this may sound stupid coming from someone who has played this game for 2 years, but... Have you guys tried running your practice laps with much less fuel? I never thought it made that much of a difference but that's because I was too lazy to go back and forth changing it around. I've been dropping many times in practice just by lowering my fuel to 3-5 laps worth (except the ring - 2 laps). It has worked well at Monza, Rouen and the Glen so far. It's a nice way to pull out of a rutt.

I normally run practice/qual with 7-10 laps worth... let's me get into my groove, the tires warmed and then a few laps of practice. For league races I normally up my fuel to the amount I need for the race, to get used to the fuel load.
Two years already? I actually bought mine two years ago, but didn't start playing until 4/2001... maybe that's nitpicking, never mind :) I think you started a bit after Paul, John and myself... or am I just hallucinating?

I always put in my qualifying set-up only the fuel to warm-up the tyres, do a few laps to get into it, then run 2-3 laps maximum. So finally, something like Mysh.
Matt, have you ever noticed that you can keep as "current" 1 set-up for the practice session and one for the race? It's not necessary to go back and change it every time.

I know Corrado. I'm thinking about cleaning out those setups. I think I'll switch to just 2 per car/track, and just work on my lines.
Mysh: I think around Feb it will be 2 years...time flies. :)
