Online Demoilition Derby/Smash up

Hey everyone...... I found out that you can create a Demoilition Derby/Smashup and play it online against other people in NFS Porsche Unleashed.... but I don't know how to do it. I asked a lot of people in the chat box in NFS:PU, but I never got it working. If ANYBODY knows how, I would really appreiciate if you could post a message explaining exactly how to do it. Hi, Macky! I feel sort of responsible, I sent you here and no one has replied to you!

I've figured out how smash up works online. Here's how it goes:

Start NFS-Porsche normally. Get past the intro screens until you reach the point where it asks you to select your player name/personna name "macky888".

At this point click "Create Player"

Type in "Smash UP" (without the quotes, but as it appears with that particular capitalization)

Click "Done"

now you should hear something like the sound of coins pouring from a slot machine.

Click "Cancel"

You will now be taken back to your Player/personna selection screen. Click your personna as usual to highlight it in "red"

Click "Continue"

Now select "Multiplayer" And then "Internet Games" and proceed through to your normal online mode of play. When you next "Create" a pit/room as the Host, you will put the game automatically in "Smash Up" mode. If you enter someone else's pit, you're in the standard play mode. If someone inherits your pit after you have been doing "Smash Up" they will inherit the "Smash Up" pit.

:nono: Now, a word of CAUTION...
If you play "Smash Up" on the "Stat" servers, that is any server but "No-Stats", you will add bogus, corrupted times to the records lists. Please, if you play "Smash Up" online, play on the No-Stats server. "Smash Up" is fun, and if played responsibly you can have a great time playing it! Go ahead to the STat servers and solicit players to follow you to No-stats. Have fun, play hard, wreck some fine cars! ^_^

Thanks for the pointers. That message is like 1 month old now though, and I managed to ask another player on need for speed how to create smash up successfully. Anywayz thanks for replying, and I'll see you online !!! :)

Umm... oops... I probably messed things up then.. :rolleyes: But I checked the stats and I guess I'm not good enough to get a top time even cheating!! ^_^

btw... Hi Chey! I've hardly been on PU online for a couple weeks now, so how'r things goin?

Missed you! How have you been? Hope you're doing well. How is Heather? I wish the same for her.

How am I doing? Going through some very profound lifestyle changes right now. Very turbulent. But other than that, things are fine.

Online with NFS, it's business as usual. Server crashes/resets, late pit entry bugs, cheaters and a lot of fun.

Yah I've been missing you and everyone too. I've just been busy and when I'm not I usually don't have enough time to get on PU and get stuck cause I'm having too much fun.

I'm doing pretty good. But my lifes getting all wierd cause I'm looking at colleges and all that sort of stuff. You might have already been through all that, but it's kinda scary for me.
I think Heather's feeling about the same - not cause she's leaving or anything, but cause I (and maybe my other sister too) might be real soon so she's probably not looking forward to being an only child for the next few years.

I hope things get better for you. :) I hate it when my friends have to go through tough times. I probably hate it as much as when it happens to me.

lol I wasn't even really asking about online, but it's great to know it's all still good! I wasn't really sure cause I got on for a couple races sometime last week and there was maybe 3 people I knew on there. That wasn't really very fun. Especially cause I couldn't win! :rolleyes: You know ALL about me and winning... &(

Well I'm gonna be busy for a while, but I'll try to stop in sometime! If anyone says anything about me - I don't know why they would but... - tell them I said hi! And then tell me who I said hi to! ^_^
