ok,

now here is where I need your help.

I have been revising the current state v8shakes is in, which is pretty poor (my mistake)

So I have been thinking how it will work, suggestions pls

But I am slowly working out a way for the ppl to be able to upload to the server directly:eek:

Now I was thinking this ...

Me, Mickcals and Alex all know at least some html, whereas Nick dont.

So if we somehow work this out then Nick ... your job will be to enter the server (through ftp program which i will send u) and heads for the upload folder. From there you check the cars, and transfer the fords to the ford folder and the holdens to a holden folder.


nice and simple job for you.

Now me, mickcals and Alex. Somehow we will work out how we can out our html knowledge to creating a page, with 5 cars on each, an image for each car and hyperlink.

Now the way it will work is like this (and Kev I need your help), well hopefully neway.

Theres 2 options ...

1) we put all the cars on pages, and mix them as they come. Like have each page with 5 cars, but mixem like how jeremys old site was. Then we need to create a search page so ppl can serach.

or 2) We split the sectionsm like how we had them. Only prob is that I am extremely busy and I dont think Mickcals could keep up either. This seems a better option as the cars are in their sections, but we may need more ppl with html knowledge. Once again we would setup a search page to find the cars.

But any suggestions please

We need it up and running (and all my ideas so far have sucked)

Ok, I think I have it worked out.

Nick ... I'll have to send you a copy of the software I'm using. It came free with APC mag I think in the AUG edition, its a full working professional easy to use site maker, so I think we'll do that and train you in how to use it.

Matt - I'll have to do the same for you.

Mickcals - you still here?

Alex - I know you said your competent with some html, I might have to do the same for you as well so its easier.

What this software does is everything ... I have seperated the pages into 4 sections for the 4 categpries,a nd it shows you the setup so u can follow.

Then it lets you publish the whole site, and looks after eveything. All you guys need is the upload info which I will also do.

I WOULD STRONGLY ASK that you go out and buy APC magazine - August 2002 edition if u can. Your after NetObjects Fusion 5.0 which is on the CD. Mag sells for about $9:eek: Only because I fear sending CDs to ppl via Aus Post, and if I can I like to steer clear.

Nick - dont u worry coz I wanna speak with u on msn about something.

Only if I really have to I will send u the cd, because it will co$t me to send them too.

But tell me if you cant afford the $9, or cant find it because I will do the right thing and send you a copy

Thatway we can all be trained in a simple to use program.

Y2k and Perko, i didnt say that Lowndes & Seton suck (only this year they do)

Reason 1: Lowndes has a dud car and Crompton got the new car

Reason 2: Glen Seton hasn't one Bathurst in the past and with Owen Kelly driving with him, chances dont look good.

Reason 3: Holden better be watching Stone Brothers (both cars), Ozimail (car 21) and DJR (both cars).

But next year will be a better year
