Glad you could use it mate. -^ I thought the bonnet stripe started narrow with them there Fords but looking at your sig pic they are broad from go to whoa. I can fix that no sweat. Shit , to think it took me ages to deliberately get that (wrong) shape. heh

Don't know if you gave it a good going over but the bonnet creases up to reveal the pale blue 351 on impact and the exhaust pipes bend when hit from the rear. The headlights & side parkers are also 3D and break away completely when hit. I also need to remap the triangle and diamond shaped stretch marks out of it but thought I would send you what I had done so far before I screwed it up again. I can't help but play demolition when testing it because I love the damage the most but after all it is a F.... (four letter word starting with "F") :D heh ... "Ford"

Make a list of faults (besides it going to fast to be a real Falcon) and send them to me and I'll try to get it better. I was affraid the nose was too long and the colour schemes may be a little off as my monitor is extremely dark.
Faults I know of :
1) the bloody hole on the rear pilla (needs more bog)
2) the reflection on the right hand side of the rear bumper (a remap will fix it)
3) front pillas seem invisible (I think the windscreen is overlapping them)
4) bonnet reflections (front half - a remap will fix it)
5) exhaust damage is sometimes a bit iffy until 100% damage is achieved (nothing can be done with that but smash it more) :D
6) the recessed, angled tail lights may have been on XB or even XA (coupes only) but I made them for this because I prefer them and I'm a glutten for punishment. :D

Sorry I had very little to go on and as most of you know I am a Holden man.

Oh and are they "Falcons" or "Fairmonts"?? From my understanding the XC Hardtop (because Ford Aust can't spell "coupe") was a "Failmont" and NOT a "Falcon". Can anyone clearify that for me please?

BTW, it's only 2202 polys so the full grid of eight XC's can run on my 300Mhz without getting jerky. -^

its fine the only complqint i have is the tqailights are a bit narrow if you can fix the probs you mentioned and the tail lights that will be fine i am not really that smart when it comes to modeling so if you just wanna fix what needs fixing it will be fine
btw can you use the texture from kev's xc cobra to make it a cobra or is that too much hassle

btw may i use it for my gearheadgarage conversions
thankyou for making this car

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't picked the tail lights for being too narrow (shows how much attention I pay to Fords... (and if any I do like the coupes the best) but consider it done mate.

Just wait until I finish her off completely before you covert it to GHG, matey. In other woirds yeah sure you can convert it.

If you want a dash for it find me an XC dash pic. I'd imagine the coupes and sedans, wagons etc, were all the same.

LOL Sorry for the heart attack folks :D but hey let's all work together to show 'em what us Aussies can do.

Let's make it NOT a "kick ass" but a fair dinkem "f@cking grouse" HS Mod!!! By Aussies for Aussies. By that I mean to suit the Aussie taste buds and NOT that only Aussies can download it.

I should get back into track designing because a hell of a lot of Europeans are making "Outback" type tracks and it's just as unatural as me making a f@cking Autobahn. I don't give a shit how many postcards they've seen they're just stepping on the back of my thongs. ;)

So come on Aussies let's all get involved. I will help, advise or assist anyone who gets stuck editing (cars or tracks)

I'm hardly going to write a complete track editing tutorial here on the boards but it's pretty basic to teach yourself as you go along. Get something started and holler when you are cornered and I'll bail you out via emails, posts or even physically repairing whatever is the problem and send it back to you to continue. I can't put my hand up for too many things at the same time, I have a few of my own projects that need my attention but (as always) I am willing to help anyone where ever I can.

I could also offer my yet to be released "Maximum Overdrive" track. Some long term regulars might recall I posted pics of it when we first opened the "Editor's Suite" forum. A plane stuck in the ground (nose dive), pubs and MacDonalds and a huge stone church with bell tower etc.. It has a long way to complete in the lower resolutions (far & rear view textures) but it's as Aussie as the next track. It replaces Redrock.
I also want to finish my Durham road replacement which has multi start finish lines (traffic lights to traffic lights) for those street drags. :D

Not to forget I am making a shit load of drag cars for my Performance Center track and a line of trucks which could be included to the mod if we get stuck as trucks do carry Australia and many (although American owned) are made here downunder.

Anyway give it a go editing and let me know when (if) you get stuck.

Acca, if you would like me to post your cars on Aussie Muscle, just say the word.

Sure is a nice Falcon, mate. I didn't know you were so adept at car building.-^

i had a quick race (preview copy :p ) and it looks great. boss wanted me to do one, but i dont have the time. he may bash me into doing his beloved 4 door Falcon. i think i'd be an idea to do the 'phase 4' anyway.

maybe you should become a full aussie muscle team member? whatcha think guys? =((

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys -^ Much appreciated. But as I said I have many other projects in the works and as it is I am on the puter around the clock (3:45 a.m. as I type this).

I will make an XC Cobra from it when I am completely satisfied with this one. I had an idea to make one of the colour schemes change it into a Cobra which I could easily do using the alpha colours (and I almost did) but the spoilers were different on the Cobras to the GT Falcons/Fairmonts. So I decided to make a seperate Cobra after this is done.

Going by Boss' pics it does look a bit too long for the roof height. Hmmm, I need feedback here guys.:help:

Boss : In my other post I said that I had little to go by. Sorry, what I meant was, those pics you sent were good ...no make that "great" editing angles but the car was stripped to a bear shell and I found nothing suitable on the net. :(

I do have an angled photo of a Cobra (great for the vidwall) but if you could find a clear shot of the Cobra decal (blue on white snake) that goes on the front guards it would help emmensly. Thanks if you (or anyone) can find one.

A pic of an XC dash (instrument panel) would be a God send. I can remember the ugly XY dash (my mate's GT) but not the XC. Although it was suggested to use any old Ford dash I'd like to make it a close as possible..... if possible. :) Thanks

the XC looks good (for a ford)

when i can get a digital camera i am going to make a VK commodore based on my mums car which you can use if you want (if it isnt to crap , i wouldn't wanna screw up your project), it will be a 3.3L but i can make a V8 version as well.

Good pic of the Cobra, I have that one too, downloaded it a couple of nights ago (same image name & probably the same site) but thanks anyway matey. I am after the actual Cobra decal that goes on the guards. Big ,clear and square-on (not angled) would be perfect but whatever you can dig up would be a help thanks. I'll keep searching too.

Yes please to the dash pics. It wouldn't matter what they are out of (i.e. sedan, wagon, coupe) as long as it's XC.

What a bummer about your HS CD gone south and I know you like the Hardtops. Target stores have the game for only 20 bucks.
Between you, me and the fence post, I always liked the Ford coupes too. Almost any coupe looks good in my opinion and I had two mates who owned Hardtops (& other mates had Monaros) when I had my 340 Charger so we formed the Victorian Coupe Club. Actually I think we named it "Seaford Coupe Club" because most of us lived in Seaford at the time.
What I liked the most about the XC coupes was the fact that you can fit 13 inch (wide) rubber under those huge 1/4 panels without doing any alterations. They look kind of crappy with stock rims though.

Not in this life time Matt. Don't count on it.

BTW during a Cobra search I found that I was correct with the GT stripe being narrow at front and widening from the scoops back.
Not sure about XCs but it was the GT stripe for XB coupes.

I have a Cobra decal that I could possible use but still need the dash pic(s). thanks.
