Well, i guess i'm just making a thread specially for my car, I haven't really finished a car yet, so i guess it would be my first, right? :) well, i don't care, all i need to do is know how to fuse two parts in zmod, do the interior, and front, map it and voila! i don't know, maybe i'll get bored with it like everything else.. well, i'll be posting updates when they get done.
Here's My Suggestion: If you look at it, please reply with some comment, (good or bad), and tell me what needs to be improved.

Ooo, neat, I wish NFS4 could display reflections on a cars body that nice. :)
I hope you don't mind me pointing one thing out, and that is the nose of the car: I think the angle of the front area needs to be flatter than it is now. ;) I searched a bit until I could find a pic that was at almost the same angle, I hope you see what I mean:
White MR2 Photo (http://www.mr2mk1club.com/gallery_files/JyrkiRuikkala.jpg)
This may not be the exact same year (I noticed this car doesn't have the original side vents) but this is a stock front, isn't it?
But that's all I can point out, everything else looks dead accurate. -^
If you need anymore reference from different angles, I came across these 2 pages that might help:
http://www.mr2mk1club.com/gallery.html
http://www.toyota.co.jp/spo/information/collection/mr2/ (click the "MR2" link next to the cars front bumper for a 360 view of a mk1 MR2...)
Good luck finishing this one.

which part are ya talkin about, i think i'll redo it anyways.. but which part? take a look:
BubbaChubs
02-16-2002, 05:30 PM
which one?
Remko
02-16-2002, 06:33 PM
Hi Bubba,
I was talking about the top area that you circled, the bit between the bumper and the headlights.
The front bumper looks good, I don't think that needs any modification.
Now from my amateur-at-modelling viewpoint :) I think it could be as simple as pushing back the top area so that the front surface is at a les steep angle (I have a bit of trouble finding the exact english words for this.)
I hope I can illustrate it with this image I just threw together, let me know if it's still unclear. ;)

I killed the polycount in the back.. I think i cut a total of 72 poly's. I'm moving on to the roof (canopy) to smooth it out, and make adjustments.
BTW - I'm gonna make the front bumper go in more, it sticks out to much.. The part that has the airdam in it, not the hood part rem.

As huge fan of Toyota Motorsports (hehe :) IH8COPS and I made Mk II MR2 some time ago and it should be still available as beta at RP Design and Justin's webpage...) I know few interesting things about this Mk I MR2
at first, MR2 was originally Lotus project, but was sold to Toyota in somewhere 1983. In that time, Toyota used to own 30% of Lotus.
Why toyota was interested this project. reason was obious, but not so clear to everyone. Originally MR2 was planned much powerful than it made when street version was introduced.
Back in early 1984, Toyota Team Europe was factory's official Rally team and was racing on WRC Group B with Celica. It's lack of power and big size and awful weight when compared to competitors caused it to left behind everywhere else but on deserts. (where it was the king. Won all possible events during Group B era.) So Toyota needed definately a new car build from the scratch.
Group B Era ended 1986 when Henry Toivonen died on France Rally after fireball. (Henry Toivonen is definately one of the most remarkable Rally drivers of all time.) and FISCA decided end Group B and upcoming Group S.
a few years ago TTE thought time has been passed enough and they showed first time, Racing ready Group B MR2 with 600bhp and ultra-low-weight body. This car was planned to replace Celica, but it was never introduced, because of Henry's accident and Group B losing it's world championship title.
Two cars were built and one these are still drivable condition.
http://www.stormloader.com/groupb/toyota.html
So, BubbaChups, after you have finalized the street version, here is something that gives the ultimate toyota racing experience. :) so how about making Group B edition too? ;)

Heh, Nappe1, I remember you mentioning this group B car before... imagine that, such a small car with 600 hp. :look:

i found a mr2 at a funny car site that had jet engines in it, yes jet engines... let me finish stock first, i was plannin on makin at least 1 rally version first.. Thanks for your interest.

Yeah, I've been offline since Sunday - put my PC in a coma by fudging up my motherboard while trying to install new memory. So I had to buy a new board first. $$)
I don't have any things to point out to the car other than that it looks better all the time! -^ -^ Hats off for the work and attention you're putting into it. ;) New wheels look good to if you ask me, I'm glad you didn't make those unrealistically low tires you see so often.

Hey.. thanks for the comments guys.. i'm glad you like it.
I've done a lot of the texture, all that needs to be done is the tread and back of the tire and the mirrors.. but everything else is done.
go to my site for more pics :www.angelfire.com/games4/nfs4currprojc
but here's a preview - hope you like it.]
P.s. it's my first time at scratch texture making.. so there's no shading or anything.. and it will not look as good in nfs4 because the current size is 1024x1024.. but don't worry.. :)
