Hi,
I'm wondering how we can organise a kind of hot pursuit online game (with PU):
-Two players with normal cars, playing the criminals, that must reach the track end.
-The other players with police cars, chasing them.
-D/C obviously set to ON :)
Just wondering which car combination can be better (I've only seen 2 models of police car, '78 and '95 911 Turbo, if I'm right).
Would you play such a game?

Since DC_Spd pointed out correctly that racing with hacked cars is not allowed on EAOR (see this thread (http://www.racerplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=302) for further details), I checked the "POLICE" savegame that I'd like to use for the kind of HP game proposed above.
It's just a savegame (3 files: 0Police.sav, Police1.hud and Police2.hud). If you want to check it the file is available at www.nfs2000.de (http://www.nfs2000.de) in the section NFS:Porsche / Files / Profiles&Hacks and is called "Police Hack", made by Addict (the same of NCOPS?).
In this way, the cars should be the original ones in nfs5 without hack, shouldn't they? No performance hacks whatsoever: I wonder if they're allowed online, what do you think?
The only problem is to race also with your profile's car, so maybe another patch can be used, instead of the previous one, that modifies the nfs5.car file to allow you buy also police and downloaded cars (I'm attaching the file with this message because I can't find out where I downloaded it).
Also this should be a patch where the car's performance isn't changed, so it should be allowed on EAOR.
I didn't test any of the two methods above, because I don't want to make anything "Illegal" :) on EAOR, but I welcome your opinion on that.

Many people are rather sticky about any sort of hacks on EAOR, be them harmless or not, just to be on the safe side I'd suggest arrangeing an IP race and then you can do as you please. :)
Cars with a different name than what comes with the game get booted automatically. The moment you select one of those cars (or join a pit with that car selected as your default car) you get disconnected. Same goes for if you "own" one of the downloadable cars from EA (GT2, GT3, 959 and 928).
It sounds like a fun idea, but yeah, you'll have to save it for IP races :)

Thanks for the info.
I'll keep this kind of game the next time EAOR goes down and I'll host through IP with NCOPS (happened twice this week...).
If you use NCOPS and see a "Hot Pursuit" race there, then you'll know who's the host :D
