I raced online... YES!!!

Thanks a lot for your suggestions on how to solve the connection problems. Online racing is fantastic!

I started with a couple of races on autobahn, but I guess the opponent was a real champ (I think [XR]SUE52 or something like that) and left me far behind...:")

But the communication was fine, he/she let me choose the car after the first game, we used always the same car and there was no c/d (although I discovered it when I was overtaken "through" my car - quite surprising - and I discovered what "no collision" means :) ).

The second experience, although I won 3 races in a row, wasn't so exciting because I couldn't chat in any way to understand what was happening (no answers in the chat room), the game's owner was just waiting for all of us to be ready - with different cars most of the time - to press GO; he also changed the track at the last moment, you discovered it only when loading... I guess I met a newbie like me but he didn't read any "rule of the road" before... :(
Moreover, I discovered during the race that d/c was ON and one of the players was just leaving whenever he discovered that he was losing, and left his car spinned in the middle of a fast Montecarlo corner (with d/c ON!!!). Nasty behaviour, I think.

I point that out because I noticed you posted elsewhere about a hot pursuit type game with PU that u seemed interested in.


Most of the cops and other user made cars will not work on the EAOR servers, none should but a few have slipped by. We don't want any user made cars online because it would mess up the stats. There are 4 dl cars that are considered legal online from EA.com but they must be run in original state..no upgrades or tuning. There is a 928,959,GT2 and GT3 cup. These and the original box game cars(tuned or stock) are the "only" cars accepted on the servers. Anything else is frowned upon('read'....."You would be burned at the stake")


you could either go ip racing or perhaps use legal cars with diff colours but you really don't want to show up online with anything but a legal car.


Anyway..good to see you had fun, and quickly learned what a nuisance parked cars are, even with c/d off that isn't appreciated on any track, much less an MC!! Won three races!!!...gr'ing(good-racing)

It will take some time to learn the ropes but just keep your good attitude any you'll get lots of help along the way.
