And besides, who needs a Vector M12, when you can get the real thing, the real raging bull (Diablo), which supplied its smooth, easy starting 5.7 litre V12 for the Vector M12. If not mistaken, that engine is the Olds 455, which, with 4 valves per cylinder and twin turbos, is absolutely a demon! There ain't a friggin Lamborghini on Earth that can hold a candle to that thing, I don't care what ANYONE says! 07-01-2002, 07:13 PM Just a pity that the Tommy Suharto was involved with it.. He ran the company that owned Vector.. Very corrupt man, that one. He even shot his brother to death, because of an arguement. Suharto's company constantly tried to limit funding to Vector (and Lamborghini, later, as well). Fortunately Audi purchased Lamborghini from the Indonesians, and saved it. Vectors problems were also home grown too. The Vector team itself apparently didn't get along very well, and constantly disagreed. They were made up of ex-Lotus people, and even Mclaren F1 and Jaguar XJR-15 stylist Peter Stevens was involved at one stage. |
