I'm going to keep it short and sweet. I have to conserve energy.
Heat 1, 20 Laps. This race was determined by offs and seams. McG took the lead by Doug slowing up for some close racing. Then Doug had some offs or hit seams, dropping way back. McG returned the favor at the end of the 19th lap for a one lap shoot out for the win. At the "over-the-hill-and-into-the-cliff" corner, Doug was 2nd but pressing McG closely when he went off or hit a seam. Race one to McG.

The 2nd heat (40 laps) was won by Doug in one of his usual blowouts, fully 2 laps ahead of the field. I blew the esses on one lap and got a course penalty, removing all hope of a win. I decided to redeem my honor by going for the fast lap and using a 3 pit stop strategy. I got it too! Score one for the old coot!
