Josh,
I have no problem with popups, even though they can be annoying at times...but there is one that just pisses me off.
That damn popup advert that cannot be closed unless you goto task manager, if you click anywhere near it, it auto launches a whole load of other popups.
If you are administering these, please remove this one from the list - otherwise, just let them know that when something is so objectionable people out of principle would not buy the product or service.

Its no doubt about it, companies are cheap. Just a few minutes ago, a box popped up that i couldn't shut unless i clicked the X. When I did, it just brought me to the website. I guess its how they expect people to impluse buy.

Well I am using KF3 now... KF2 is definatly available to the public though. But trust me. it is awesome :). Also stops unwanted cookies.

If you guys find some that are out of hand like you can't close them or something let me know and try to get a url or a screenie or something so I can report it and get the bad offenders taken down off our banner rotation.

do you actually get more popups.. all I get is the "congrats".. sometimes i dont see it for a day.. then ill see it for hours

I see it it every time i click on sometime on here and 1 after pops up 1 most times but 2 sometimes. :mad: :mad: :nono: :beer:

I get the "Congrats: Casino" popup every time I switch between forums, or from my user cp (profile) to a forum.

Err... should I even mention that I get no pop-ups here at all, nor do I see any ad at the top of the page (although there is a blank box). Norton Internet Security 2002 is wonderful, definately worth the 60 bucks and then some (oh yeah, they do get the 'then some', it is called yearly subscription to the anti-virus, but, it is only 12 bucks for the second year, first one free).
No, I am not pipming either, just very happy and like to share my joy. :D
nfs350r, those do look very 'big', they would hurt on my poor modem too.
Have you guys tried tucows or zdnet for popup stopper proggies?
I use Zone Alarm Version 3, and it comes with an Ad-Blocker that works really well, never seen any popups here with it enabled.
But the popups here are not so bad, seen other pages where you get at least 3 and if you click you will get another 3 of the same, click back and get 3 more.

KF3 is just the best... if you are still getting popup's popping up, you will need to alter the filter.... are you using KF3 or 2 right now though? If it is 3 I could send you my .ini files with all the months of filters I have LOL. if it is 2... I could probably alter them to run with KF2.

Opera Opera Opera Opera Opera Opera!! Refuse all popups and its not an MS product! ;) Its faster than IE too...at least for me.
