It's slow to shift gears.. If it were as fast as the BMW SMG-II system, then it would be worth it, but, otherwise, try for a manual one, if you can get the IS300 with it, or, a normal automatic. I think you'd really like the 156 GTA, with Selespeed (Magneti-Marelli)electro-hydraulic gearbox. (Just hit buttons on the steering wheel, or pull on the gear lever (backwards and forwards) to change gear. No clutch pedal intervention required. It also has "City" mode, where it works like a normal automatic gearbox. The Alfa's emotive 3,2 litre V6 puts out 190kW, and sounds glorious. It could be dangerous for the drivers license though, with that engine constantly begging to be driven hard.. :D |
