It looks like 15 laps is possible with a full tank. I'll suggest 12 and 24 laps again.
A note on setups. Philip Island is a high speed track. Low D/F and and a tall final drive ratio are probably required. How high? How low? How deep is the ocean? How high is the sky?
The lower the D/F, the better the acceleration and top speed. Also, the more frequent the trips into the boondocks. You _must_ find the best balance for your driving. My D/F and gearing won't help you here. To say nothing of the fact that I don't know what I'll be using yet.
For the record, I've set my front and rear D/F equal to minimize understeer. It's under 10 degrees. I have also made 6th gear a little shorter (0.850) to raise the revs a bit. I'm currently testing final drive ratios in the neighborhood of 3.400 to 1. The rest of my setup remains the same.
Friday Nite Vintage Racing will be at the same time and the same venue.
I believe Philip Island requires a smooth, delicate touch. There will be no substitute for many laps of practice. Expect the fastest laps to be under 1:30. with the Vintage cars just a touch faster.
