Just talking to Dr Uwe in weaselworld and he gave me this link for IP play - IMHO we should all support whoever is trying to get this together - divided we are not going to keep a strong community but if we all stick together we can make PU IP work!
Here's the link:

oh, glad you reminded me of that "seeing you" thing! that's another thing about ip racing and why y'all want to do it... ask the guys who have raced with me on ip and they'll tell you why!
hint: do you like polka dots?

the first release of ncops is due out soon. although basic in design, it is pretty cool. i've been beta testing the releases addict is coding and he is doing some kickass work.

Cool cool! I was kind of hoping something like this would be possible, and I am glad to see it is taking form. I played some PU last night, and it was fun again, so for sure I will keep up to date on the IP games!

This is great... I only wish I were capable of helping in some way.
I hate having to stand on the sidelines yelling "go team" when I would really like to actually be doing something.
To all the folks who are making NCOPS happen, my humble sincere thanks.

I released a picture in a news post on the ncops site, but the phackin site is down again while rackshack 'fixes' problems. :P
DPK, man, you 0wn! I didn't know it was progressing so fast. Once again, Addict saves the day with his programming genius ;)
The only suggestion I have is to maybe integrate a chat in some way (like WinVROC does... it uses an IRC channel for a lobby... use #nfscheats for all I care ;))

Hi, and a happy new year from cold Austria...
Just came back to total after some registering probs, thanks to Josh for his help.
I really like the idea of NCOPS, and i tried to spread it on the servers a few hours back. Hope it will help.
Maybe we should inform someone if its done...im thinking about game magazines, e.g....problem is we wont get much new players if the idea isnt spread enough, and i fear it will only give a little more time til final death of PU.
Anyone here with contact to game magazines for that matter ? Or even to EA (shame on me for the idea), maybe a small link on the EAOR web site or so...just an idea.

Seems the user community needs a good 'Agent' to spread the word.
I was thinking a little article titled...
"EA stock in the dumpster after they ignore their customers" might be a good starting point.
I can think of a lot more input to such an article...

I've emailed the 2 feedback email addy's for NFS HS and NFS PU on the EARacing.com website, about the NCOPS project. I asked them to put up a link to it and such stuff, we'll see if it happens, I don't know anyone higher up to contact about it. Maybe some others might.
Has someone here actually done Peer to Peer IP racing over the net?
Any idea what bandwith is needed Up and Down?
I think the host uses only port 9442 so this should be the only port to open for in the firewall.
My ADSL is ready but i have not set up my router/firewall yet. :)
Painful to be at work............ :(
