Remko surely will like this one ;)

This time im really happy because in this Renault 18 i can keep the quality of my latest models, but using much less polys

At the moment it has only 3489 polys ,

alot of diference with the current standarts , that not allow to play fine in full grid or in slower computers.

I think the final polycount will be 5000 or 5500.

My goodness, that looks so perfect, it's unbelievable.
I mean, look at the real car (I don't know if the 18 was known the world over):

Introduced in 1978 as the successor to the Renault 12, it has always been a very popular mid-size sedan in Europe (In France it was often used as a Taxi), and in Latin-America as well.

edit: after looking on a few R18 fansites, I notice that it actually has been imported to the USA and Australia as well, I didn't know that. ;)

It looks absolutely flawless, down to the rims and the chrome-on-black badging on the trunk. Will you give it headlights wipers too? ;) (I am just suggesting that because I think the R18 was one of the first European cars to have that)

Yes, I've seen the Renault 18.. Got to admit, it was never a very popular car in Australia though.. But then again, the old Renaults were never very popular in Australia.. Something to do with their cars not being marketed very well, and French Nuclear testing in the Pacific.. The most commonly seen Renault is that old Renault 12 (that funny looking thing that always looked like the rear suspension was sagging).. ^_^

Renault is making a much better effort now. They've returned with a bang, and massive ad campaigns that would be impossible to miss (for the Scénic, Clio, Megane and the nice new Laguna). More importantly, the cars are actually pretty well done.

This Renault 18 above looks quite realistic. -^

my father owned a silver grey metallic Renault 18 TS. the car was very confortable and never had engine problems of any kind. we had the car from 1980 to 1985.
